Cedar Bucket Planter with Rope Handle

Description

The bucket itself stands at 10" tall, 9 1/2" in diameter. The bottom and upper ring are made from planed Cedar to a thickness of 3/4" for durability. Each panel on the side is planed down to 3/8" to add a little accent to the overall appearance. Outdoor rated glue and galvanized nails were used to attach the boards to the bottom and ring for extra strength. The finishing touches is where the magic is. The bucket is coated with two coats of waterproofing sealant which protects the wood as well as brings out the 'red' which looks so nice. The handle and rope straps are made from 3/8" thick rope that has that outdoor look. Finally, 1/8" jute is wrapped around the ends of the rope straps to give it a finished rustic look. Overall, the project is extremely well made and appealing to the eye!
