DELICIOUS!!
I rarely review things on Amazon at the moment, but felt compelled to do so for these because I gotta help let it be known that these "Mild & Tangy Chili Lime Nuts" are very good! One of the most impactful parts of these peanuts, which I'm guessing is either just the way this company, "The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg" makes their peanuts, or it's an expected thing for Virginia peanuts themselves, but the crunch of these peanuts is outstanding! Each can of these peanuts seem to come with a freshness packet, and that likely helps with the crunchiness. However, of course, after a few days of the can being open, it does seem the crunch lessens slightly, which isn't a problem really. Now, the lime aspect of the flavor might not immediately be noticeable if you're crunching right away like I typically am, you *can indeed* taste the lime if you savor these peanuts. 5/5Edit 1/29/25I also recently had their "Buttermilk Ranch Jalapeño Nuts", and these are as well DELICIOUS!! Another banger of a food product. Just watch out for the dust at the bottom of the can, cause oh man that gets salty. 5/5

Very fresh tasting peanuts
Great tasting peanuts - easily some of the best I have ever eaten. They are very fresh tasting. I wish they were a little more spicy but I'm going to try some of the other flavors. Highly recommended.

Excellent Taste; A Little Too Crunchy For My Tastes
My wife likes peanuts. Me … not something I think about. So, I was surprised when she began ordering little cans of, I guess Planters peanuts, the Spanish kind with the little red skins everywhere, how much I liked them. They are a little salty and slightly sweet. So, when she wanted to get some Virginia Peanuts, I thought, ‘’Why not?”. But, I like salt and pepper, so I bought these. One thing I’ll give them is that they taste great, once you crunch them up. The salt and pepper ratio is just right for me. And, they are nice and big without any of those annoying little red skins to flake off an get everywhere. These are excellent Virginia Peanuts, if Virginia Peanuts are your things … I have some friends who won’t eat anything EXCEPT Virginia Peanuts, mind you. Now, however, maybe it is because these are the first Virginia Peanuts I’ve had, or maybe it’s because these aren’t quite cooked enough. But, I find them a bit too crunchy. They do NOT taste undercooked, but they are just extremely crunchy. And, whether it is a feature of Virginia Peanuts (versus Spanish Peanuts) that these peanuts aren’t as ‘sweet’ as Spanish Peanuts, or whether they don’t taste as sweet as Spanish Peanuts because this batch wasn’t cooked as long, I don’t know.Still, I liked them, and I may buy them again, but first I may buy some other brands of Virginia Peanuts to see if they are different.

NOT gluten free
I forgot to review this earlier, but I bought these in February and at that time they were listed under Amazon's "gluten free" snacks. The page explicitly labeled them as such, and being a severe celiac (along with crohn's etc and so forth) I thought I'd hit the goldmine of affordable snacks, finally.Well it's definitely my fault I didn't read the label when they arrived, but I had a few handfuls over the course of a week and then broke out with red/bloody rashes all along my neck. I went to inspect the label because it was the only new food I'd bought recently, and lo and behold I was struck with the dreaded "also processed in a facility" etc etc. I called up the company, and while the representative was very polite she also made it clear that "this is just how nuts are processed" and there was nothing they could do.I'd visited my brother many times in Williamsburg, as at the time he was posted there in the Air Force. Such an amazing town, which is why I thought I could trust them. I mean sure it's a bit of a tourist trap, but the people were lovely, streets clean, and tons of entertainment (especially for history lovers like me). I didn't expect a company based there to flat-out lie about being gluten free. Yeah, okay, the ingredients you use on this product might not have gluten, but if you process them in a facility where you also use gluten, cross contamination is guaranteed. Not likely, GUARANTEED.I know it was only ten bucks (twenty if you include the other flavor I bought) and so literally a financial afterthought, but I'm so tired of companies not taking allergies seriously. Sure, probably most of the anti-gluten fanatics are just fad dieters, but there are some of us in the population who actually can die from this crap. Labeling yourself gluten free as a total lie should be criminal because what you can do to my body could be lethal.I should note that after I chatted with Amazon they fully refunded my purchase no questions asked and told me to just chuck the nuts. So while I'm happy I ended up not wasting any money, I feel Amazon should take a bit more responsibility for lying companies like this one.

Serious lack of heat
This is for the Hobenero peanuts. The nuts themselves are very large, and crunchy. They're high quality. But the heat is very lame. Planters spicy peanuts are as hot as these "hobenero" nuts. 3 stars for being tasty, but I'm stretching it, and being overly generous, because they're just not hot, which is the whole point.
