Heaters that disappear into the background
We own two of these Amazon propane heater, and theyโve been a great addition to our patio for cooler evenings. These heaters put out plenty of heat, making it comfortable to sit outside even when the temperature drops well below normal. The brown paint used on them matches very well for the bronze accents of our home. The built-in wheels make them easy to move around the patio, and the simple ignition and adjustable flame control make them quick to start and easy to regulate. They have stood up well to the weather and elements and I expect they will hold up well in the future. Because we have two of them, we can spread them around the seating area and create a surprisingly warm outdoor space. Theyโre not fancy or decorative compared with some premium patio heaters, but theyโre durable, effective, and very good value for the price.

Great heater in helping to allow outdoor entertaining
Packaging: * Arrived in good condition, two day shipping to allow assembly prior to Christmas Eve * Instructions were the first item on top of the packaging, and in English only * Interior was wrapped with Styrofoam end pieces and each item individually wrapped Assembly: * Well written instructions and diagrams * All hardware was in a self-contained and labeled package, with none left over or missing (go figure) * Most instructions were easy to follow although attaching the burner assembly was a little vague * Took about 1.5 hours from start to flame on.......I'm not a handyman Fitment: * All pieces went together well although a couple of times I had to go back and loosen fasteners to align the holes....its recommended * Burner fired up first time I tried to turn it on Overall Assessment: This is a great item, I recommend it and would buy it again although i can't yet speak to the long term use. This product was a second choice as I found some very similar products at lesser costs but they were unavailable at the brick and mortar store or they were unable to have the heater arrive for our planned event. However, through Amazon, I was able to purchase this item at a competitive price and have it arrive in two days with reasonable additional shipping costs. I was pleasantly pleased at the condition of the box and the interior contents as it was packaged very well. All items were clearly marked or shown in the diagram in the instructions. They went together well but I suggest leaving the hardware loosened until you complete each step then tighten after that step. I assembled in the kitchen using the table and counters as a layout and bench. I had initially filled the base with water, but it leaked so I skipped that step and will fill it with sand at a later date. The rest was a breeze. I completed putting it together and moved it outside on our screened in porch (high ceilings) attached the propane tank and it was flame on the first time I tried. The wife was pleased because she now had a heat source on the porch so people can gather and sit outside and talk or spill over from the family Christmas Dinner and if Momma's happy......well, you know the rest. FOLOW UP.....The after party.....just wanted to let you know that Christmas Day couldn't have been better and much of it was because of the utility of the heater. We burned it, with kids sitting under it chatting, for hours after opening presents and sitting outside for dinner. Granted, it was almost 50 degrees but it worked great. It also allowed a place for the kids late in the evening to sit and swap stories. Couldn't have been any better if it was the 4th of July. Thanks Amazon for great and speedy service....as always.

A deck must have
I have 3. They work amazing. Put out great heat. Not too.bad to assemble. Easy to light and stay lit They look great and professional. The wheels make them easy to move. For the most part they dont get bothered by the wind unless it's very big wind. I recommend the heat shield to direct some heat and stop wind. I also recommend the covers. They are a must have and work great. But weather is hard on things but hwve lasted years and protected the heaters. Very happy and love them. They are a must have hence why I have 3 lol.

Works well, assembly could be easier
Assembly was relatively easy. However, they package the top part of the heater with 5 pieces that assemble together into a reflector disk. Each of those 5 pieces of metal is coated on both sides with a blue protective film - presumably to prevent scratches on the metal. This film is very well adhered to the metal and mostly wants to tear as it is removed. Just removing the blue film from those 5 pieces probably took 30-45 minutes. The rest of the assembly took maybe 20 minutes. Once assembled it works great, no issues starting, smoked briefly at startup and then ran great. On a 60 degree evening even on the low setting it puts out enough heat I would need to be in short sleeves if sitting nearby. It seems like it will work well for temps in the 40s and 50s.

An excellent value, and great looking too!
I purchased this particular patio heater after having considered a number of other ones on Amazon and other web sites. One of the reasons for purchasing this one was the availability of the Sable Brown color. Another factor was that we live in a very windy area, and I was concerned about the heater blowing over. Some units do not have the ability to weight the base with water or sand, but this one does. Assembly was very easy, but time consuming. Because of my concern for the unit tipping over in the wind, especially if the propane tank is nearing empty, I decided to fill the base with sand. Water would have been SO much easier, believe me, but sand is about 60% heavier by volume than water, so for me it was worth the effort. About the only negative comment I have concerning this unit is that the fill hole in the base could be larger to make sand filling easier. Just filling the base took me about an hour. I would have to use a small cup to scoop up sand from a bag and then try to get it in the small hole. As the base filled up, I kept reaching in with a few fingers and pushing the sand away from the hole to compact it against the sides of the base. I was able to fill the base with about 80% of a 0.5 cu ft bag, so about 40 pounds of sand. The instructions were excellent - great pictures and easy to follow. I did not use their provided 'wrench', but my own socket set. The quality of materials is excellent - all painted items appear to be powder-coated. The unit has two wheels to allow the unit to be easily positioned. The first time you use this, the unit will smoke a bit for about 10 minutes or so, most likely burning off chemicals used during manufacturing. It lights very easily, within a few seconds. Of course, they recommend that you use the shutoff valve on your tank every time you finish using the heater. If you are the type of person who always follows every safety recommendation because some lawyer made them put it in the manual, you may get annoyed by having to lift up the tank cover every time you want to shut off the gas. Some other units have an access hole in the tank cover, but this one does not. The tank cover must be lifted up on the pole to get to the valve or to change the tank. There is a plastic ring around the hole in the tank cover to prevent it from scratching the pole when you raise or lower it. As for me, I will not be shutting off the valve every time I use it. If you have tested your tank installation and verified there are no leaks at the tank, it is really unnecessary, and actually you are more likely to cause a leak if you are continually messing with the tank every time you use the heater. The unit puts out a lot of heat. You will not be sitting out in shorts and a T-shirt when it's 32 degrees out, but on cool nights in the 50s, you can definitely be outside without a jacket on. I highly recommend this unit based on my limited experience with it, and will post an update if I encounter any issues that would affect my rating.

Not recommended for those living in snowy or windy areas.
Instructions not included. Search results turned up nothing. For some people, the missing instructions may be no big deal. For me, it seemed pretty straightforward and manageable to assemble. 1 - without the labeling of the nuts and bolts I ended up using the wrong bolts in the beginning. It wasnโt until the last steps that I realized this. No problem, I went to Home Depot and found the longer bolts and nuts to finish the job. 2- the โoffโ control knob is loose fitting. I did the gas line check before using which showed no leaks. But when using it I noticed it ran out of propane quickly. Reason being the loose control knob. 3.) As instructed, I filled the base with sand. But fitting the cover over it was very difficult to do on my own - harder than assembling the whole thing. But I got it on. And it was fine until we had a windy day on Sunday - the highest gust of wind was less than 20 miles per hour. The whole thing tipped over onto the patio. And the only benefit of it toppling was that a few of the nuts came loose which will help me reassemble the whole thing. Not recommended for those living in snowy or windy areas.

Great for the cool time
Excellent patio heater with a modern and elegant design. Itโs easy to use and provides strong, even heat, making it perfect for outdoor gatherings on cooler nights. It feels sturdy, stable, and well made. Definitely a great investment for home or business use.
