Great for cool toned skin and the makeup-adverse
If you're cool-toned like me and look horribly orange when using most any skin tint, bb cream, etc. you should definitely try this! Every other product I've tried pulls way too warm and yellowy/orangey on me. Also great if you need some tint in your SPF but don't want to look like (or feel like) you're wearing any makeup. Color: I've had trouble finding cool-toned tints from Western brands; it seems the "default" light or neutral colors for most Western brands is too warm for me, so I always looked "off" and didn't know why. Products that fall into this category for me include the Australian Botanicals tinted spf (oxidized VERY orange on me); maybelline fresh bb cream (their light-medium was closer to my skin tone, but still too warm and dark); bare minerals loose powder spf 15 foundation in fairly light (too warm and dark, this one was my fault, as I didn't know I had cool skin when I purchased it). I was also, however, worried about lightness in K-beauty spf products, as I've used bb creams like Missha (pulled grey on me, very strange) and others which basically leave a noticeable white cast and not much else in terms of color. Thus, I was worried this lightest shade in this product would be TOO light for me, but it isn't. It's quite subtly pigmented with a great formula that blends out quickly and dries into a soft, powdery, silicone-based skin primer-type feel. I think this helps with shade matching, ie you don't have to worry too much about a perfect match here because it's light enough coverage to become your-skin-but-better (rather than an obvious "I'm wearing makeup" type product) so long as you pick one that matches your skin color to the best of your ability. Coverage / formula: Light coverage! I love this, as I don't wear makeup. I only switched to this tint because I'd wear heavy duty, non-tinted SPF and still end up with a bright red face for days afterward. My skin is very reactive to sunlight even if I'm getting sufficient UV protection. I thought I was getting sunburned, but I wasn't. I actually just needed a tinted spf formula so that its color would physically block light. (If you experience this, please look up vascular reactivity! I have a connective tissue disorder which results in this). Now, I did NOT want any sort of tint to my spf since I don't wear makeup, and previous tinted SPFs and BB creams I've used (IT cosmetics, physician's formula CC cream, for instance) leave such a thick, obvious finish that I thought I'd look crazy if I only wore a tinted SPF without any other makeup (mascara, for example). Thankfully, this formula is so light and subtle in its coverage that I feel absolutely no need to wear any other makeup with it, as it simply does not look like I'm wearing a cakey foundation. If you're looking for something thicker with more coverage, this is not the product. This is for people who hate makeup and want the bare minimum tint in a product that they need to get the skincare benefits (for me, it's to prevent my hyperreactive face skin from getting bright red from sunlight). I would liken this to a lighter, cooler-toned, more pleasant to work with, and far less expensive version of the La Roche Posay anthelios tinted mineral sunscreen. It's that same kind of liquid-y formula, maybe a touch more viscous. TL;DR If you hate makeup, hate the feel of applying SPF in general, don't want to look like you're wearing any color at all, and want something liquidy and light that blends seamlessly into your skin color, this is for you!

Best tinted sunscreen!
I am something of a sunscreen connoisseur and have tried many tinted sunscreens, from luxury brands to drugstore brands to k-beauty and c-beauty...the biggest issue is that most of them direct you to apply a pea-sized amount, or apply a small amount with a foundation brush or sponge. That's not enough, if it's your only sunscreen. The appropriate amount is 1/tsp, or two fingers worth, to your neck and face. When you apply most of these tinted sunscreens in the proper amount, they look streaky, don't ever really dry, or look like a mask. (The only other one I've found that lives up to this is Australian Gold, but it's too heavy for the summer for me). It's pretty much impossible to rely on any of them as your "one and done" product- it's gotta be a "real" sunscreen with then some sort of tint on top. When it's a work day, who wants to do that? I wash my face and put my sunscreen on, all while drinking my coffee before going out the door. I felt the same pessimism when I tried this one...I gamely squirted a line on my two fingers and started applying it to my face and neck. I was sure I was in for the same disappointment as with countless others but instead...IT BLENDS IN! IT DRIES DOWN! And my husband said I looked good when I literally just threw it on to walk the dog (in broad daylight). No marks. No streaks. Didn't feel like a mask. I tried applying a bit of blush and highlighter another time and it played well under those products. I don't think this is for you if you're really looking for a sunscreen with the coverage of a foundation. If you're a dedicated sunscreen user, though, like me, this will give you the protection you need while just evening out your skin and making it look a bit glowy. I think it could be build able, but I'm not looking for full coverage. This is perfect for what I want- something to prevent skin cancer and photo aging while making me look more awake and pulled together (what I was hoping for with the new Merit release...oh well). I will be buying this again when I run out and will keep using it forever. I wear this sunscreen in LP110 and it was an excellent match for my cool with pink toned skin (for reference, I wear Revlon Colorstay foundation in Buff so that's the shade of skin I'm working with).

Might clog your pores
The sunscreen is very light weight and leaves no white cast; however, if you don’t double cleanse it leaves a residue on your face which broke me out. Don’t worry after I started oil cleansing, all was fine. Overall, lovely product!

The BEST skin tint w/ SFP I've ever used!!!
What a wonderful tint!! i've tried all price points/brands, drugstore, high end- this one is perfection. It melts into your skin and dries down quickly allowing me time to put my foundation over it. It does have a tint but if you go with a lighter shade it will work perfectly. I love the lightweight texture and silky feel. I will be purchasing this product again, really great!!!

On the fence...
I'm on the fence with this and going to give it a couple more tries. The first time I used it without moisturizer first, it pilled and looked horrible. My makeup looked horrible after! My skin is fairly dry so I guess that makes sense. But I don't have to use moisturizer with other spfs that I've owned. The coverage isn't much but I expected that but I don't see any at all tbh. That's fine again, no white cast is better than coverage. So the second time I used a moisturizer first and then this. It was better but still not great. My skin tint after sat on top better than the first time. The third time I mixed it in my moisturizer and applied it. That was the best way so far. Again I don't think I should have to apply moisturizer with it. So I'm on the fence of returning it. I feel like there's better out there but I don't know yet. I'll update when I figure it out.

Great for mature skin!
This is SUCH a great product, even for mature skin!! It's tinted so it gives a very nice sheen to the skin, it still shows stubborn redness and red pimples, but that's to be expect with just a tint. Me and my mom tried it on our skin and even with different setting powders it looked great! The powder i used on my mom in the photo is the Polite Society's More Than A Pretty Powder and the combo I SWEAR made her skin look like she had a filter in real life. We applied with our finger tips as a brush was too streaky and the sponge soaked up far too much for my liking. Then we waiting about a minute with fanning to let it settle into the skin before applying the different powders, in her case the Polite Society and in my case the viral Laura Mercia (tho I 1000% perfer the polite society, she wanted to try a different one for my skin). And both combos gave similar results. One draw back I noticed while taking off my lip stick was that some of the foundation and powder came off with dry toilet paper (softer than paper towels and the sticky gloss didn't stick to my normal makeup removing towel). This could be because I did not use a setting spray or the powder didn't set correctly, either way, just a note.

Felt awful on my skin
I REALLY wanted to love this. I got 2 shades to try out and I found that mixed together, they were a good shade match. I gave this a fair shot and tried it out consistently, wearing it inside, and wearing it outside in 90 degree NYC humid weather. The coverage is not bad for a tinted sunscreen. It just slightly blurs imperfections and evens your skin tone. On that front, I wasn’t expecting too much, and I don’t want to wear heavy makeup in the hot NYC summer, so I was fine with the coverage. Not a huge fan of how it applies… it feels really greasy and runny when you apply it, and you have to wait for it to dry down before it becomes matte. Like all mineral sunscreens, I don’t recommend this if you have dry skin. It will cling to dry patches, but it is great if you have oily skin or sweat a lot. Now to the reason I gave it 2 stars… it just felt HORRIBLE on my skin. I can’t even describe the feeling - no other product has felt like that on my skin. I don’t have sensitive skin when it comes to makeup or beauty products. I’m only sensitive to metals in jewelry. And it almost felt like there were metals in this with how it made my skin feel. There was no visible reaction - I didn’t get red, or break out, or anything like that. But from the moment I put it on, til the moment I wiped it off, it felt itchy and drying and tight. The best way I can describe it, is it felt like I rubbed moist clay all over my skin then lay out to bake in the sun, and the clay was drying and tightening all over my face and starting to crack open. LOL. Horrible sensation! I tried to push through it because as I said, I wanted to love this. But eventually I finally had to give up and unfortunately, it was already passed the return window.

Very sheer coverage
I like this product but wish I’d researched a little more and/or read more thorough reviews before I purchased. I’m in my late 40s, have good skin but starting to have slight signs of aging like fine lines and minor discoloration, and my skin is dry. I prefer hydrating light coverage base products with a dewy finish. I’ve tried several tinted sunscreens and tinted skin tints with sunscreen, looking for one product that can wear alone/in place of traditional foundation. This one isn’t going to be that product for me, as it is just TOO sheer. It offers almost zero coverage at all, which is fine but not exactly my preference and I already have several tinted spf products that offer sheer coverage in my collection. I will use it - it feels nice, looks nice under other coverage products, and is good for a daily sunscreen. I just wanted this to have a little more coverage so I wouldn’t need another coverage product on a daily basis. I think this product is best for anyone looking for a hydrating sunscreen who isn’t concerned about actual coverage offered. Pros: hydrating, non-irritating, wears well under makeup, high spf coverage, non-drying. Cons: sheer coverage, doesn’t “set” on its own, probably not suited for oily skin types.

Best face sunscreen
I bought this sunscreen for everyday use, and it delivers excellent protection without feeling heavy. It’s affordable, feels soft on the skin, and doesn’t clog my pores. Even when I’ve been under direct sun, it kept my skin safe from burning. Great value for what you get , a reliable and easy‑to‑wear face SPF. 💛
