Overall this is a worthwhile purchase! Can't beat the price for this type of brush especially for just 1. The decorative box it comes in, packaged, and secured inside is like receiving a prized gift. You know their is pride in its creation. The size #4 is generous and has strong absorbency with water and paint pigment. The size is perfect for medium to large paintings. The craftsmanship indicates attention to quality and providing the customer with longevity of usage. The handle is short and can be held comfortably. It is covered with a clear protective glaze coating that feels secure. The metal ferrule appears secure and holds the bristles in place. The bristles are soft and lays softly allowing for various techniques and line widths. It comes to a fine point on the tip to create delicate lines. It is an all purpose brush worthy to have. I wish it came in a set with sizes #0, #2, #4 like DUGATO. These sizes allow for a variety with different size paintings.

I am really enjoying this mop brush. I like that it holds a lot of paint so I can do a lot of painting without going back to add more watercolor paints.I do a lot of painting just for fun. It's great for adding background colors and all kinds of effects. Makes a nice base shape for a petal or leaf. Does not release all the paint at once.I really love this brush. I might get more by this brand. I used it to blend the blues to the greens in the background in this painting.

Very happy with this purchase! The No. 6 is perfect for doing large washes and also holds a great point for fine, line work. Nice, fat belly for holding lots of pigment without leaving stray hairs on your paper. Be sure to clean your new brush very well, b/c it contains plenty of gum/sizing. The box it comes in is a nice bonus, too. I would buy this brush again!

Nice brush for ink

I did not have a quill brush of this size in my collection and am very happy with the amount of paint/water the brush holds and the nice point the brush holds. I’m happy with this purchase.

Very good brush!

I was really excited about this brush, I love Paul Rubens products. I have two different paint sets from them, the phosphorescent watercolor and the 48 color tin. I also have some of their watercolor blocks which are wonderful quality.But this brush, while nice.... sheds so much... I don't know if it's defective or what, but I didn't get through one rough painting before it was dropping hairs on the page, on the paints, in the water. It's a real shame.

Very nicely put together small mop brush, just right to fit in my plein air sketch box. With this and a fine brush, I'm ready to go anywhere. This brush will make a very nice, precise point. All I have to do is give it a shake and all the hairs fall into place. Came in a fancy box to boot. I bought size 4.
