Great for catching fireflies
My 3 year old nephew loves catching fireflies and he uses the cup to hold them so he can watch them glow. It’s been so much fun watching him as he exams them with the magnifying glass. I never get tired of him saying “WOW”. This was a great summertime gift for the inquisitive mind of a toddler. This is great for girls who love bugs too!

My Daughter loves this thing!
My kid loves it, she's playing with it outside right now.She loves to catch grasshoppers and whatever little bugs she can find.I will say, as a parent, I absolutely love the B line of toys. They're always really well made and sturdy toys. My 9YO son had just about all the musical instruments as a young boy. He had the Dog Guitar, the Cat Keyboard and the Frog Drums. He had the Big base drum with all the instruments inside it. He even had one of the Nylon pop up fort things. I will always buy this brand of toy if I can, they're affordable and very well made. This is the Main line of Toys that Target carries. We've had so many of this brands toys over the years. Great toys.

Fun toy for little ones!
My toddler loves this bug cage! He spends alot of time with grasshoppers and butterflies in it. He loves the little cup also with the magnify view lid. The only thing so far that isn't great is the cages door was scratched up just a day or so after using it. When you slide it open it immediately scratches it. But it's a kid toy so kind of expected. Overall it's a great toy for getting activities outside and learning about bugs!

My Classrooms love these bug cages!
I'm starting at a new school and hope you can get these back into stock soon. These are for preschool/kindergarten-aged children. Toddlers (3) can play with them under direct adult supervision only. The cage door is a bit fragile. One broke but not on my watch. I find them very durable and my preschoolers loved them.I filled them with rubber bugs and we talked about what they were. What color bug do you have? Sadly, I hadn't been in a classroom long enough yet to make a chart about each bug but what a wonderful science project for the future. I've purchased 6 so far and couldn't bring myself to take them from the classrooms I once worked in.This toy will allow you to open up conversations that allow you to talk about colors, counting, sharing, and geography. All of the pieces fit nicely into the bug cage. They practice fine motor skills when trying to pick a bug up with the easy-to-handle tweezers. Magnifiers open the conversation about big and little. Near and far.

A great item for introducing young children to nature - to the reality of nature rather than the unreality of iPads, cell phones and cyberspace. Its only drawback is it lacks a “butterfly” net. But this is easily acquired. Pair it with a book on insects and voila! you have a junior biologist. I used a very similar item with my children and gave this one to a 4 year old neighbor. I now see him walking about his backyard looking for suitable specimens to examine.

Fun way to bring outdoors inside
Bought this for my kid so they could collect bugs… now my house looks like a scene from Jurassic Park: Insect Edition. Within 24 hours, the “bug hotel” had 3 beetles, 2 crickets, a suspiciously large spider, and what I’m pretty sure was the starting lineup for an ant colony. The box itself is sturdy, easy to open, and has air holes—aka tiny bug escape hatches if your kid forgets to snap it shut (ask me how I know). Nothing like sipping morning coffee while casually spotting a cricket hopping across the kitchen like it pays rent.10/10 though. The kids are obsessed, they’re outside more than ever, and I’ve never heard the word “cool beetle” yelled so enthusiastically. Would recommend if you want your child to experience the wonders of nature… and if you’re okay with occasionally being surprised by nature crawling across your living room.
