If You Are Looking For a Robot Vacuum at a Great Price, Look No Further
I have been looking to buy a robot vacuum for a while. I was looking at the name brands and watching prices. Then I came across the lesser known brands which were half the price. I started reading the reviews and watching the prices. I narrowed my search to two or three. Amarey A800 topped my list at $199.99. Found YouTube videos which showed the unboxing and operation. The owners seemed happy. One day Amarey offered a $50.00 off coupon. I grabbed it.The A800 comes in a nice sturdy box, with all the parts well protected in their own compartments. You receive 2 extra side brushes and replacement filters. A remote control with batteries is also included. A quick start guide makes it easy to set up, no tools needed. As with most new electronic products, fully charge before using. While it is charging, look over the area(s) you intend to clean for wires or other obstacles. It will grab wires and lightweight fluffy bathroom rugs. The first time I used it, I followed it around to see how it did with carpets and area rugs. Our main floor is hardwood, tile and carpet. It cleans all of them. After running the A800 the first time, I couldn’t believe how much dog hair it picked up. The dust bin is easy to remove and empty. The A800 is fairly quiet too. It has a setting for spot cleaning; it will travel in a spiral and then go back in a spiral until done. This won’t replace your regular vacuum; it can’t do steps for example. My advice: If you are willing to prepare the area to be vacuumed a little, you will be happy with the results. I have moved all wires from its path. I have to temporarily move a speaker stand because the A800 wants to climb up onto it. I pick up the dog beds, dog toys and lightweight bathroom mats I pull out the dining room chairs to allow better access under the table. I do this any time I vacuum. The A800 will even follow around each leg to clean. Remember to close any doors that you don’t want the robot to enter. That’s it. The charger base has to be placed in an open area so that the A800 can find it. You can’t hide it behind objects and expect the robot to find it. The A800 has no problem with area rugs, runners or kitchen mats. It cleans under beds (check for wires) and under kitchen cabinets. Conclusion: I love it. After running the A800, I went and vacuumed with my Shark vacuum. The Shark only picked up a very small amount from the hard floor areas and a little more from carpeted bedrooms. I don’t really use the scheduling function; I prefer to run the vacuum when I am out.

Going Strong After 3 weeks!
I spent a lot of time researching similar robotic vacuums before I decided on this one. I wished at the time that I had been able to find a good unbiased review, and one that gave some update about the products durability given it's cost. I could not. So I decided that I'm going to try to make this review like that - unbiased and if possible, updated to reflect my experience with it over time.I was impressed when it arrived. It's well made, easy to set up and worked right away. I've got it set to run automatically in an area made up of four medium sized living spaces all connected with large doorways - so it moves around those four rooms during it's cleaning cycle. It moves somewhat randomly, meaning that it has no ability to learn or remember the room but it moves all over the past and seems to have good coverage. It doesn't remember where it's base is until it gets within a few feet of it, so it's ability to return itself to it's dock when done or running low on battery is challenged. That doesn't matter though. So far - it is a good product, it does a nice job picking up tons of pet hair and dirt in a clean home that is vacuumed regularly with a dyson. We have a dog that sheds thin white hairs and this gets it well.It makes the transition from hardwood floor to thick wool carpet without any problem. So far, I'm saying buy this - it works well, looks good, is easy and is a lot less expensive than other brands with more known names.Edit #1. I have now owned this device for more than a week and have it set to clean every night after I go to bed. It is doing a fantastic job and as a result, I have upgraded my review to five stars. It works very effectively in four interconnected rooms with carpets of varying height (including two think wool rugs on hardwood and a couple of braided ones). And most impressively, it has found its way back to it's base virtually every night (there have been three when it ran out of power before it found it). This is a great little robot vacuum. I will post another review to discuss ongoing performance and reliability once I have more experience with it.Edit #2: It's now been three weeks. This device works perfectly and makes it back to it's base nearly every night. It is full of dog hair and dust and full on dirt every morning. We also regularly vacuum with a Dyson upright. This thing finds plenty of stuff to pick up despite the house being clean. Definitely would purchase this again. I'll post another update in a month or so to get more at durability.
