Perfect for any Legend of Zelda fans.
The only *good* picture I have of the sword currently is, unfortunately, this one beside my wedding cake lol. But the sword IS life size, sturdy, and beautiful. I purchased it for the intent to cut our wedding cake and to have it as a collectors item to display. The sword does not come sharpened, I'm not sure why people think it would. It's a collectors item/prop. I'm sure you could sharpen it yourself if you truly desired. The only "issue" I had with mine was it didn't come with the strap that's pictured. Some people got one, I didn't, but it's not a deal breaker. Mine came with the sword inside of the scabbard within the shipping box. It was packaged very well with no wiggle room. The sword definitely has some heft to it. It's a beautiful collectors item and it is definitely worth the price. The blade is not plastic, it's definitely metal. The whole thing is made very well, including the scabbard.

Great value
First off, I think this is a great sword! I think the sword itself is beautiful, albeit slightly lighter then I was expecting. So here’s the ruff...While it’s incredibly long I was hoping the blade itself would be slightly thicker. I think it’s probably the steel it’s made out of. Obviously it’s not sharp, except for the tip which is very sharp! It’s well done. The exterior of the sheath is very nice looking! Whatever materials used for the inside of the sheath however could be better. Whatever it is it’s always leaving particles on the blade. It’s not the best material to use. To only other issue I have is the strap. I’m 5’6” 185 lbs and the strap is very tight. With the sword as long as it is, it would have been nice if the strap was longer to adjust better for wearing it. Because it’s so tight it’s not great to wear because it doesn’t sit right. It makes the sword act more like wings on both sides.I realize there was a lot of negative but if this is something you plan to hang, or pose with photos, it’s an amazing addition to any sword collection. Plus for the money, it truly is a great value.

Fantastic, nostalgic- but not durable
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic piece of work- even sharpened- but the pommel is loose and it jiggles, which makes me concerned for safety and aging. It is a present for my son who also loves Zelda/Link- I highly recommend it for display, and if they fix the slightly loose blade issue, it will be fantastic especially for the price! Craftsmanship is not a five because it isn’t handmade- and/ornthere is a little “China” on the bottom of the blade.EDIT: December 2019. My son took his new gift out to try it on some vines: he had a lot of fun, but unfortunately it loosened the sword even worse than the original we received. He was very upset, and my wife worried she shouldn’t have let him. We got the sword for decoration but also cosplay and fun, for my 14 year old. It needs tightening but there is a risk taking it apart to so so will damage it.A beautiful show sword, good balance, nice edge, but its durability is very low. Very disappointed. First sword was loose to start with, replacement became loose after single use.

Real review, beautiful sword
This is obviously a wall peice and you're not going to actually fight with it so the people that say it isn't this or it isn't that... Chill out. If you love the game then you will love this sword if you get a good one. Mine is put together super tight, the acid etching is very clean and prevalent and its polished and sharpened nicely. The sheath is also very awesome. This isn't a 4000 dollar katana like I have but it isn't supposed to be. Its not for battle and you're not actually going to go running around the neighborhood with it looking for Gannon. I hope. Maybe the 30 year olds living in their moms basement screaming for meatloaf will. I'm sure of that. But it is very beautiful and very much worth the money for something cool from the game.

Beautuful, yes.. But quality is not there.
The sword is an eye catcher when you first unbox it, but unfortunately it's beauty is cut short by it's quality. Very short. This is obviously a wall hanger/cosplay piece never intended to be played with or used for anything other than display purposes.I read the reviews before buying and the negative ones are sadly very acurate.First off the blade is bent ever so slightly. It curves off to one side and does not seem to be made of a quality steel. It would without doubt bend and not retain it's shape if used, or snap off at the hilt.-The blade has a 90° edge and is not sharp whatsoever. Even though the description says SHARPENED in capitol letters.-There's the word "china" laser engraved in the blade about 2 inches up from the hilt.-The hilt casting isn't great, lacks quality around the mold seams.-The blade wobbles. A lot.-The Pomell wobles independent of the blade. As does the entire handle to a small degree.-The included sword belt is made of faux leather and the parts that are supposed to go around the sheath do not fit around the sheath whatsoever. The snap buttons fo not hols either. The length of rhe actual belt is too short to wrap around a person's body. I tested it with a piece of wood I cut to see if it was worth modifying as I have experience with real leather. And I'm very skinny guy.-The sheath itself has two pieces of adhesive foam on the inside to keep the sword in firmly (they leave a streak on the blade) and is made from cheap wood wrapped in faux leather, same as the handle of the sword. The gold printing on the sheath is slightly off in a few places, but otherwise it's fine in my opinion.Overall I am displeased and I do not feel justified paying $80+ for this sword and sheath.I hope this review helps you make a more informed purchase.3 stars.Three stars because it makes an excellent wall ornament. I would rate 2 1/2 but thats not an option.
