As others have noted, the box is small, and as others have said, the dimensions are listed clearly in the product description, so the fault of not knowing that lies with me. However, I was unaware the box came with a cool looking pirate treasure map and some fake gold coins. I purchased a set of fake coins and gems and loaded the box up, hid it in the yard, and sent my son searching for it with clues and we used the map that came with the box to pretend we were stopping at the landmarks listed on it. It was a blast and he had a lot of fun. It's a nice little box and makes for a cool decorative piece on my book shelf when my son isn't playing with it. I'm happy with the purchase.

Bought this for decorative purposes and it is perfect. It is very well made and I love the dark red color.

Bought this for a treasure scavenger hunt for my daughter’s 4th birthday. I wanted a chest that she or I could use beyond the game & this fit the bill. It’s beautiful and could be used as a home accent as well. Haven’t had the party yet, but both kids love it so far. We also bought a bag of 65 jewels to add to the fun. This box comes with the pirate coins, necklace, map, skull ring and compass.

Too Small

This is made out of some cheap material, but that's fine - it's GREAT for play. We do "treasure hunts" around the house, putting small candies or a few quarters in this, hiding it, and then putting little paper clues all around the house. The picture-clues are read by the 3-year-old, and the 5-year-old reads the clues with written words (we just make them up ahead of time). Perfect little treasure chest for fun like that. Love it!

Box is uneven, and rocks around on a flat table surface. Cheaply made, and is held together with staples. Unaligned lid too.

I like the overall look. Although the wood part could have been better finished. I will be adding some touch-ups to make it look more vintage and less cheap.
