Molto utile in caso di stanze non trattate, io ho preso la versione con il microfono da misura appunto per speaker all'interno di stanze, inoltre ha la calibrazione di moltissimi modelli di cuffie. La procedura per settarlo in una stanza dura una ventina di minuti e deve essere ben eseguita, ma si è comunque supportati dall'installazione guidata, non è nulla di difficile.

This is one of the most incredible things I've bought in my music production over the years. My mind was boggling at this thing. The process of measuring was fun and felt like playing a game somehow. It takes about 20mins and has you capturing beeps and swirls that are sharp in tone from many different points in your listening area. You will need a measuring tape (I wish they provided and branded one!) and of course an XLR lead for your microphone. And also using the same input/output device is recommended. I used an SSL2 audio interface which worked OK. Needed to adjust mic gain vs output level a little which took a bit of time to get balanced before performing the measurement ritual. It resulted in an accurate depiction from the software of the measurements of my set up in CMs (can use imperial). Which was so accurate it felt almost supernatural! I have no idea how it did this. It was absolutely bang on even with reflections everywhere in my location. It picked up how one speaker was performing vastly different to another, this shocked me. A MASSIVE drop in mid bass on one speaker - which I suspect is due to reflections and standing waves etc as I am producing in a kitchen with echoes everywhere. Great, eh? Yeah. This is why I bought this! Once it addressed this, my stereo image came to life and my mix clarity improved to a point I was making immediate changes! (Thought I've not used many reference tracks yet to adapt I must admit, so I've not tested how they're translating yet!) My laptop set up is a bit old and I'm finding it glitchy, I suspect this is not the software so I'm not knocking anything off it. OK so I'm not giving this review from a position of using it a lot yet, but it's the manner in which it just opened up the stereo field that absolutely staggered me! Even Mrs R was stunned, and she couldn't tell any difference on the Sony MDRs I use - I could but subtle, not sure on the impact of that yet, I'll be using that more cautiously, but that's why I bought the MDRs they're not listening headphones, I haven't quite adapted to them fully but glad I've got them. They require time to appreciate. I've tried other software and have been left broadly unimpressed. So I was hopeful, but not confident. I got these in a Black Friday deal for £149. When you consider many soft synths cost this without a calibration mic (which has a unique code for each one to input for maximum accuracy) it's an absolute BARGAIN. I'll now be using the same calibration when I move to another location so it should adapt and be far more similar than it would have been. Let's now see how I adapt to this new listening profile and how these mixes translate, but honestly, listening to the music is SO much more pleasant now I would never go back to not using this. This will absolutely work better in treated rooms etc. Now I understand why studios use them. I'm using it in a way it isn't really supposed to be, so bear that in mind. But my point above remains. Where there was mud, no cohesion, and a lack of stereo image I now have what feels like a £400 speaker upgrade. I'm using the more budget friendly JBL 3 series Mk2 6inch. Powered, rear firing ports (nightmare with a reflections heavy environment!) Well done Sonarworks!! I'm no expert on this I just want to create great music that sounds good, and whatever happens now it's already a lot more enjoyable at least! I will now take time to adapt my listening to this new mix presentation. Wow. I hope you found this review helpful
