I twisted my back and wanted something for support but didn't want a boring cane so I purchased this. The first thing I noticed is the quality of the manufacturing. All parts are nicely machined and the threads are like butter. Everything fits perfectly and the tools are very nice. It is fairly heavy but I expected it to be. The only criticism I have is the folding knife seems a little flimsy but that's a minor issue. I can't wait to hurt my back again so I can use it!

This walking pole is awesome. FYI, I bought two of the $12.00 extensions to go with the pole kit instead of just buying the extension only and then complaining about my stupidity in the comments! It might not be perfect for mountain hiking, but survival and self defense while walking it is unmatched. I love it.

Great travel cane if you can deal with the weight. I like how heavy it is.

Great for an outdoorsman or if you need some protection.

This is the perfect camping tool. Took it all apart to see what I got and I am very pleased. Can’t wait to try this out

Nicely built. Accessories are good quality. Height is either a hair to short or too long with the extension but usable. Depends on the person. Seems very dependable

Needs a rubber, to use it indoor spaces and needs a little cap for the open end of the handle.

I wasn't expecting too much when I ordered this, as I've come to expect that Chinese-made "multi-function" anythings are somewhat flimsy. I couldn't have been more wrong with this item.My main reason for purchasing this stick was that I felt it would be easy to pack in my travel luggage. I've used "adjustable length" walking sticks and found the adjustment slide mechanism eventually either jam or not properly loosen, after extensive use. Having sectional piece to assemble should avoid that problem. Also too, this stick has gadgets included.The stick is extremely well machined and solid workmanship. The threads are heavy-duty "acme" threads normally used on industrial hardware, not simple screw threads. Meaning less chance of the sections becoming cross-threaded and damaging the threads. There's also a rubber o-ring seal on each section, which should help prevent the sections from coming loose during use. Might also keep water out of the interior, but I'll need to test that this summer.The knife and spear blades aren't particularly sharp, but normal for most bladed tools and I can easily sharpen them. The sickle blade is sharp and looks useful for trimming use around the house. Not sure where I'd use it for while camping. All three blades appear made for moderately heavy use and should work well when needed. I would not forego carrying a regular hunting or survival knife when using this stick, but the built-in blades would be good backup tools.I selected the "B Style" stick. It can be configured as either a straight stick or a T-handled walking cane. One short section has a threaded hole in the side which gets screwed onto the end of the other assembled sections. One end of the "T" has a glass-breaker tip and the other has a metal capped tip. By not using the one hollow section (section with no embedded tool) the length (for me) is perfect as a cane-style walking stick.Given the weight of the stick, if I had to break a windshield with it I'd have no problem. As a "T" handled cane, it has the feel of a substantial long-handled hammer.When used as a straight full-length hiking stick stick, use all sections including the "T" section. Remove the metal cap, screw the "T" section straight onto the top section, and use the metal capped tip to fill the hole in the side, giving you a straight stick with a knob hand-grip. Not sure if I like this although it does give a place to rest my hand. I may end up purchasing a six inch extension piece so I can have the options of a straight stick, stick with side knob, or walking stick. As shipped, without the "T" section the stick would be a little short for my preference as a hiking stick but still serviceable.What I really like is the included carry case. Like the stick itself, the carry case is well-made heavy canvas with an adjustable shoulder strap, and the interior has a pocket for each walking stick section. There's extra interior pockets so if I add an extension tube I still have a place in the case to carry it. The individual pockets protect the sections from getting banged up in storage, and the empty case will double as a convenient bag for carrying necessities on a day hike.Overall very happy with this, and I look forward to taking it along on lots of future hikes.
