Strap is extremely cheapI understand vintage look, but the snaps are corroded like a battery. The copper had oxidized so bad it was crusted around the snaps. Wasnt as big as expected. Had to cut the strap off and buy a replacement strap that was thicker and actually functional, having a buckle strap is uncomfortable.Barely holds my chromebook (11") and a thin notebook and folder.

Read below for my original review of the bag. The seller contacted me after writing the original review and was kind enough to ship out a new bag. He explained that this is the "new" version. The new bag is exactly what I was looking for with the first bag. This one is larger, doesn't smell at all, and is larger. It's the perfect size, not too big and not too small. I wanted an inexpensive bag that would fit what I needed it to without being the size of a duffle bag. I'm so happy they sent me a replacement because I really liked the first bag but the negative aspects made that one unusable.I found the bag to be too small, although it does fit my 13" MacBook Pro. The smell is a overpowering and the oil used to treat bag may be organic, but it seems like it's coated a bit too thick. And it's on everything to include the snaps. I kept it because I'm hoping it will air out and someone in the family will use it in the future. By the time I pay to return it I wouldn't get much money back.

WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN WITH YOUR MONEY !!!!This would be a really tight fit for a non thin 13 in laptop. My Surface and IPad 2 are snug... Holding out on how durable the product is but I am a little worried....Looks sharp and I like the size its just a snug fit and no pen holders... Tried to locate contact info for seller no ph avail. had to wait on replacement case instead of just getting snaps...SECOND REPLACING ORDER WAS WORST THAN THE FIRST ALL THE SNAPS WHERE RUSTY AND IN BAD SHAPE.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for. I needed something small to fly with but big enough for my 13-inch laptop. It's a tight fit, but my laptop fits inside. I love the zipper on the back - very convenient - and there's another zippered pocket inside that's really nice to have. I've only had it a few days, but it seems to be very sturdily constructed. Plus, it's super cute. All that said: This review is for the second bag I received from this seller. The first one I ordered had a bad smell, did not have a zippered compartment inside, and some of the stitching came apart on the first day. The seller, however, was incredibly helpful and sent the second bag, which I have absolutely no complaints about and would highly recommend.

The quality of the leather is very nice. I didn't notice any overpowering odors of any kind. All the hardware (buckles and clasps) is very high quality. I like that it has a carry handle on top in addition to the shoulder strap. There's also a few dividers inside to keep things organizedThe color isn't quite as red as I was expecting. It's a bit more orange/yellow than the photos, but it is acceptable.

Excellent messenger bag. not too large, but just the right size for small MacBook, iPad, clipboard and other essentials. good quality. Takes a few days for the strong smell to subside, but well worth the wait.

Very durable. My son loves this bag.
