Most Comfortable but keep it Worn Properly
Aspen neck collar with the dial was great. Much more comfortable that the Aspen collar without the dial. Make sure when putting it on it fits in the correct position in the back of the neck to keep it properly protecting the back of the neck from movement. It may take a few days to get used to. I have a C2 fracture, Dr has instructed me to wear this 24/7 (I can remove briefly to shower) . The pads do get a little warm when wearing, hopefully you’re not having to wear this in hot weather or hot/humid climate. I have 4 different hard collars, by far this is the Best one for sleeping . After wearing it 24/7 for 5 weeks, the jaw area that goes up and down starts to slip, I had to buy a 2nd o one to have on hand just in case it breaks, you don’t want to be without this one. It’s up to you to make sure this is properly put on and properly secured but if worn correctly, this is by far the most comfortable and secure neck collar choice. Great price even if you have to buy a 2nd one

Effective but it gave me a rash!
I would give it five stars because it’s a great collar, but the liner is super irritating to my skin, to the point where I have a rash everywhere it’s touching my skin. I’m going to give it a wash and see if there’s a chemical residue I can remove.

POOR QUALITY ASPEN VISTA PADS
I'm writing this review because I feel like I've been taken. I've had 3 Neck Surgeries in the last year, and I always buy the "Aspen Vista" Full Neck Brace w/Pads .After wearing the Neck Brace for a period of time, I need to Hand Wash the Pads and lay them to dry. The Front Pads are wearing after "One Use". Fuzzy area where a person try's to attach the Clean Pad back in, and it won't stick to the FUZZY ROUND DOT'S (STICKY) in lower and upper Plastic Face Brace! Please, can I get someone to help me, I can't afford to keep buying the pads and only getting ONE GOOD USE!

Just like the one I had years ago. Cheaper this time. Thanks

Good to sleep in so far
Sometimes I wake up with a sore neck and then I use this to help it heal the next night. For those having problems putting this on, loosely connect one velcro strap on one side of the collar. Now the front and back sections are connected on a single side like a hinge with the velcro strap. Put the front of collar on your neck and close the back around the back of the neck. Don't worry about it being tight, close it and get the other side's velcro connected losely. Its now on your neck and you only need to do minor adjustments of the straps to get it snug. You can tighten each side's velcro strap one at a time going back and forth with little adjustments by removing and replacing the velcro slightly tighter or loser until you feel the proper snugness is achieved and the collar is centered. Then adjust the chin if needed and you are good. You may need to readjust side straps once you get the chin in the right place. This is how I am putting it on without asking someone else for help.

This collar was recommended to me by a PT for cervical instability issues ...
This collar was recommended to me by a PT for cervical instability issues resulting from a car accident. I wear it while sleeping, while riding passenger in vehicles, and while working at the computer.Overall it is effective in keeping things in place; however, there are a few flaws that keep it from being great.First issue: I have a small neck and this isn't quite one size fits all. In order to make it work, I have to tuck the back piece under the front one by a couple of inches in order for the collar to hug my neck. The velcro adjustment, while convenient, doesn't guarantee a perfect fit every time. I find that I have to fiddle with it and it takes a few attempts to get it right each time I put the collar back on.Second issue: The foam pads pick up skin oils and makeup quite easily, and it's very visible given the fact that the surface of the pads is a light color. If I don't wash the pads every couple of days, I'll get acne breakouts from the oil on my chin and upper neck. The pads begin to fray even from light hand washing, so it doesn't take long for them to start looking quite worn. You can purchase extra pads, but I feel that these should hold up better in the first place. I am considering using their pads as a template and making my own with a non-porous soft vinyl surface instead.Third issue: The adjustment button is not only unintuitive (took the manual, plus two other people before we could figure out how to use it) but it requires a fair amount of finger and hand strength. If you have weak hands or hand joint issues, you'll want to plan to have a helper around for that part. It's impossible for me to do on my own.Overall, the collar does what it needs to do, but I am still looking for one that will hold up more comfortably long term.
