Gecko Nasal Pad, Small, Res Med #61911

I started CPAP therapy with a nasal mask almost a month ago. I immediately got a bad rash on the bridge of my nose due to the silicone seal. I got this gel pad in the hope to protect my skin from further irritation. I so so wanted to like this gel pad, but it's just not for me. I felt it was too thick, and way too large (even though I ordered a small). My nasal mask didn't create a proper seal with this gel pad, and I felt a lot of air leaking up into my eyes. Also, the weight of the pad plus the nasal mask made everything very uncomfortable. I almost felt like it impeded my breathing. Sadly there was a sticker on the box that said no returns, so I guess I'll just toss it.On the plus side, diaper cream helped to resolve the rash, and loosening the straps of my mask has helped reduce irritation. If you're having similar issues, I do urge you to adjust your mask first before purchasing this. It could just be as simple as that.

I was looking forward to getting this Gecko Nasal Pad where my mask wouldn't rub a red spot across my nose. I have tried it 3 different times and it leaves my nose a lot redder and if I use it 3 nights in a row I get blisters on the red part. I don't know if I'm allergic to what is made of or if it moves the nose piece and that is what does it. I don't think I'm allergic to it or my nose would be red under the whole piece. It just dosen't work for me.

I have been using these for a couple of years & came online to order again. I have virtually no adhesion issues and absolutely NO mask leaks. That being said, I wish they would redesign the size and shape, as the 'small' is still too large & protrudes outside the mask. Since I use the memory foam Resmed cushions I still get a good seal, but I would prefer one that is smaller than the small and fits only on the bridge of my nose, and not onto my cheeks. The only downside is the price...it keeps creeping up to the point where it is pretty pricey.

I use this pad every night. Stays pretty well and creates a better seal for my mask, resulting in better sleep without leaks. Been using these for years and will purchase again. I get about 2 months out of each one.

Will not stay on nose. Need to lie down then place on nose then before it slides out of position put on CPAP mask. Also requires cleaning daily. Recommend just using a band aid. Cheaper and do not require cleaning. Use Pro Advantage ones. They are much gentler on the skin than Johnson & Johnson.

Easy to use, to clean..Goes neatly under the full face mask of my CPAP apparatus and saves the bridge of my nose.Just make sure it is totally tucked under the edge of the mask for a good seal.

It really is saving the bridge of my nose. It doesn't stick to my face, so getting mask set properly is a bit difficult. Provides a good seal once in place.

I had no issues with the usability or comfort of the product however it caused my mask to leak right where the pad sat, negating any positive effect it may have by creating a bigger problem.
