Okay, so. I do like the look of this but there are quite a few cons and I'm almost positive I could have found something better for the same price. It is very cheaply made, the "wood" has come off in tiny areas like chipped paint. It is very small . Smaller than expected and percieved in photos. The magnet works at least, though I expected it to be stronger too, to be honest. The only thing that made it awesome was inside the plastic there was a piece of paper that said it was a complimentary $15 Amazon gift card, which I would have given 5 stars for at that point. BUT the scannable code on it doesn't work with the Amazon app and the website on the paper somehow brings up my Facebook messenger when I enter it in my search bar. I thought maybe it was something wrong with my phone and tried on my friends and it did the same thing. I contacted Amazon customer service and they were no help either, couldn't even tell me how I could get in touch with the company. They had me send them pictures by email and said I'd hear back from someone withing 24-48 hours. Well my email was returned with a message saying it couldn't accept incoming mail, and that's the one Amazon gave me. Awful customer service from Amazon and a rip-off from that company. If they do somehow fix it and give me the $15 gift card than I'd gladly change my review. But I've been very dissatisfied with Amazon lately, too much misleading information.UPDATE: Never heard back from amazon like i was told i would. So i called customer service. They went ahead and gave me the $15 credit, so i changed my rating to 3 stars. Still had to put too much energy into this though and amazon and the company shouldnt have made it so troublesome. But i do appreciate the credit finally, and overall the purchase was worth it for me. Another update: since putting it on my wall, ive given another star, it was a little tricky to be honest but once i got it, it became extremely sturdy and ended up being exactly what i was looking for, for the price and all.

Although it's obvious that the magnet strength is focused on certain parts of the strip, it's spread out enough not to be a problem, though heavier knifes could pose a problem. Decent product.

it works great, the magnets are just about perfect strength to hold up my knives.-1 star because it is a little smaller than expected (see pic), and the black paint looks cheap up close. From a distance, it's perfect, but if you look at the strip closely it looks like it was just painted with craft-store acrylic paint (rather than a wood stain or smoother paint) and has no top-coat or sealant. For the cost, it's absolutely perfect, but I do wish it was made with just a little more care.

The ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the length. Says 10 " which is true but there is like 1/2 inch on each end that has no magnet because of the hanging area. I ordered 2 because I wanted something longer. I also did not want to drill into my granite so I also ordered some 3m black 5952 VHP double sided 1 inch tape which is totally working !!!! I have some heavy knives ! Be sure to get a mini level and to mark off where it needs to go because this tape is gonna hold !

My initial thought was, "this is too small". That would be my fault and not the products. It looks good and the installation was easy enough. While I was able to get one set of cutlery on, I wasn't with the rest, which again, my fault for not checking the measurements. My only real issue is that the pre cut holes in the back are designed for one position and one position only. I wanted to position it in a vertical way but that's not going to work if I tried. Otherwise, I'm already enjoying the look it brought to my kitchen and do not regret the purchase one bit.

Nothing to dislike! Exactly as advertised and a great price. Strong magnets!

The magnet works good. I bought 2 and the anchor points didn’t match. I used one to mark the anchor points and ended up cracking the wood on the second one because it didn’t line up. But the one seems to fit fine and work well for my knife set. Just don’t make the same mistake I did measure both anchor points on the back if you get 2. Also this block can get scuffed up. It is wood not steel.

It looks nice and works well I just wish it was longer. Its probably my fault for not reading the description closely but now I have to buy another one to mount right next to this one.
