Science of the Manhattan Project team
Quite a concise explanation of science issues for constructing the atom bomb, and not needlessly technical. Its appendix fills in some terminology, like nuclear cross sections. I always wondered what exactly were the problems for the Manhattan Project team. This is a good book to own if you are watching the WGNA series, and are curious about the actual history.

A reasonably accurate summary of the physics involved. I found it interesting to read with Ken Ford's "Building the H Bomb" and with Serber's book.
