One person can also assemble but it'll take more time. Two of us assembled it and took us about an hour to do it. Parts are easy to understand and fix as per the pamphlet. However I did receive a video guide for installation on WhatsApp from the seller as well. So far all the parts are in good condition and work well. It's comfortable. I bought the black and white Colossus. Update after using for over a month: The char has become very squeaky, the back rest has become slightly flimsy and is shaky. Does not feel solid. The squab that you sit on is too soft and at times it feels like you'll slide off the char itself because of the inclined angle it creates while seated.

This chair is a mixed bag with a lot to like. For one, it is one of the most comfortable chairs that I have used, and the support is good for the most part. It is solidly put together and there are no creaks or signs that the chair is under fatigue because of the user's large build. There is no sagging or disproportionate bending of the cushioned areas, and the foam used has the right amount of firmness. I tend to be quite obsessive when it comes to the quality of frequently accessed touchpoints, and the quality of this one is largely good, even in areas where nobody would usually look. It gives the same happiness when you check under a car dashboard or behind trim panels, and see that the manufacturer bothered to tidy up the wires and mechanisms despite knowing that not many would bother to look in those places. Dr Luxur's customer service is top-notch. Before making the purchase, I reached out to the company on their WhatsApp number and got swift product suggestions. Even when the shipment was delayed (more on that below), the company ensured that my queries received timely attention. They have a surprisingly short turnaround time. Now, after more than a fortnight of the purchase, I still have the customer service team checking in on me, asking if things are up to the mark. Their team was one of the few that, after a long time, made me feel that they wanted my business. If anyone from the client handling team is reading this, kudos for your responsiveness! As for improvements, I feel that the Dr Luxur should look into these areas: Adding weight to the wheels and base : One thing that I have often noticed, the chair tips over if you sit way in the front, or towards the edge. This is a heavy chair, and it can inflict some serious damage if it tips over the user. I am not sure if others have faced it or it is just me, but this usually occurs if I bend forward to pick something up from the floor. For instance, I have a bottle of water on the floor that I want to pick up. So I scooch over to the edge (you have to do that as the seat base is very deep, but that adds a lot more thigh support, so is a good thing) and bend, and the whole chair topples over me. Maybe it happens because I am putting almost the entire weight of my body on the front edge when bending down, but it is nevertheless a point to be noted. Perhaps extending the length of the iron feet could be a solution. Otherwise, some kind of counterweight can be attached within the backrest assembly to counteract the loss of balance, similar to what you have in industrial cranes. Gaslift and armrests : I wish the gaslift would go a wee bit higher. It is adequate but sometimes leaves me wanting for more margin if I want to work from a top-down position, especially while typing. The armrests, on the other hand, have an excellent range of motion. But they could do with a bit more vertical movement, especially when they are being lowered. Their lowest setting is not low enough for me and fouls my elbows. Branding : Some gamers like loud graphics and branding, but some do not. So, there should be an option to choose from a muted look or one that is all decked up. I understand that gaming chairs can be loud, but there are users such as myself, who use them as office equipment during the greater part of the day, and as gaming chairs during the evening. As if the "Dr Luxur" branding emblazoned on the headrest is not off-putting enough, it is again stamped on the magnetic head cushion and the lumbar pillow. It is not to my taste, and this aesthetic does not fit into my surroundings. The back has a massive "Clutch" branding spoiling the otherwise fantastic carbon fiber-ish threaded finish. I wish this chair would stand out because of its bulk (which it does, and appears overwhelmingly large when you walk into my small office), and not so much for the loud branding, which makes it look deceptively cheap and second-rate. The only reason that I chose this chair over other Dr Luxur products is that it has a relatively dulled-down appearance and color compared with others in the line-up. Gaslift sleeve : This is a shockingly cheap piece in an otherwise upscale chair that uses upmarket materials. I have attached an image for reference. It looks as if the part was molded at a home foundry. It is ill-fitting, cannot maintain shape, and slides down with the slightest movement. Mine was damaged in the middle, as can be seen in the picture, and has a rather bad overall finish. It is not a dealbreaker but is an eyesore. There is no unseeing it once you do. Courier : This is a premium product, and it is only fitting that Dr Luxur's courier partner lives up to deliver the right experience. It was shipped via road, while it could have been done by air. Personally, I would not mind shelling out something extra if it means that I get the product delivered in a day or two. This took nearly nine days. I live in one of the biggest cities in India, and the time taken for the package to travel from Bangalore, another major city, left me confounded. If faster delivery makes a lot of difference in pricing, perhaps it would be better to let the customer choose a shipping speed at checkout and add a fee for expedited transit.
