Unlike what is written within the item description, Lutron dimmers do not work with this brand light string. My home is set up utilizing the Lutron system. When I connected the light string to the dimmer, On/Off, and dimming work properly, but the dimmer cannot completely turn off the lights. Lutron says this is called ghosting. Lutron said this happens when lights aren't manufactured to ignore the low voltage current needed by the dimmer to respond to wake up/power on commands. Upon contacting Niosta, their final response was “We are sorry that this product does not meet your needs, thank you for giving us feedback this problem, we will feedback the problem to the factory, hope that upgrade the product can meet the needs of more customers in the future. “ And the option to return the lights which was appreciated. The seller was responsive, just not able to resolve the issue. The misleading description was still on the item page at the time this review was printed. Hopefully it will be changed.The lights seem bright and dim well, I switched to a Kasa dimmer and they work perfectly.

Super cute :) I bought two sets for my patio and have had zero issues. The bulbs are glass. So make sure you have them strung tight enough to handle the wind and not smack against something to shatter.

The media could not be loaded.  We have a 10' x 40' patio space underneath a deck on an upper floor that we wanted to give a bit of ambiance. This product had 2 major pluses for my project: first, it had the lights spaced every 2' (or 24"), which was 1' closer than the competitors; and, second, it advertised the strand as coming with dimmable LED bulbs. We hung the lights in a "V" pattern off the bottom of the upper deck, which took 3 strands to complete. To complete the setup and give full dimmable control, we combined it with  SUNYE Max Power 200W Waterproof Outdoor String Lights Wireless Remote Control, 150Feet Range, Memory, Stepless Dimming, IP68 WATERPROOF.UL 3 Pin Plug Remote Control Dimmer (ONLY FOR LED DIMMABLE BULB) .On full 100% with our installed "V" pattern, the space can be lit up to feel almost like mid-day sun. Set down to the 25% level, it gives a much softer feel, and if you want a truly romantic environment, use the "do-it-yourself" buttons to set the dimming at the lowest level, (seems like around 5-10% brightness)!Both components are working well for our space, installation was straightforward, and we're very pleased with both the products and the results!

I didn’t pay attention when my husband hung them, so I did not notice that the bulbs are incandescent, not LED. (Explains why our power usage was higher than expected). I noticed this only now when going to change out a bulb that burnt out. We like the look, but are not happy with having to change out the full string of bulbs to keep a uniform look, and then what to do with a box of incandescent bulbs. Well, my mistake for not catching it 2 years ago.

This is just as described. A commercial grade heavy duty light string. Reading the description they go into great deal to let you know the quality that goes into this light. Reading back through it after I got mine they are dead on and proud.The LED bulbs are glass so will not yellow as plastic will. But the bulbs may break if dropped. I don’t know. I am careful when handling mine.The light string is durable and the sockets are two feet apart. The lights put out a lot of lumens. Not blinding, but more than I expected. I will be buying a dimmer extension cord since the first socket is two feet from the male plugin end. I want to be able to position them away from the electrical receptacle. And also be able to control the light level, mood and ambiance. This light string is purchased for the perimeter of my Airstream main awning.After running them for a while the bulbs were still cool to the touch. The string coiled for storage is heavier than expected. It is a quality product and I would recommend this.This light string should last me for many years.

The lights look fantastic on our metal patio cover. It took a while to properly space the light string around 3 sides, attached with zip ties. Work great with a dimmer switch.
