Perfect
I have three micro-planes from this brand, and wow, they fly absolutely fantastic! Those small planes with brushed motors tend to fail after maybe 40 or 50 flights, but this brushless model with a 500mm wingspan? Amazing—it can handle 10mph winds like it’s nothing. Truly impressive! This thing zooms through the sky, responsive and incredibly stable. The motor performance is strong. The box includes three 2S battery packs and four or five propellers, which is plenty for me. I also tried using my own 3S battery with it, and wow, it really kicks things up a notch! Flying this RC plane feels like unlocking a new level of freedom. The engine is powerful, and it’s so much fun to control—whether cruising smoothly or pulling off some aerial tricks. Since it’s ready-to-fly, I was up in the air in no time. It’s perfect for relaxing on a lazy afternoon or showing off some moves to your fellow RC flying buddies.

Not very durable
Waste of money. Buy a $36 plane and throw it in the trash when you’re done with it. I bought a cheap plane for my son to practice with then bought him this one. This plane wouldn’t get off the ground. It wouldn’t stay straight long enough to take off. The propellers are junk, but it’s poor design. If it had a motor on each wing like the cheap plane I ordered, the propellers would be more protected. I tried to fly it and got it off the ground but landed it in some tall grass and of course the propeller broke. Very disappointed in the quality and have a very disappointed son who received this for his birthday. We used every propeller that came with it within 15 minutes. If you do decide to buy one, save yourself some time and leave the landing gear off. Have someone throw it for you instead of taking off from the ground and buy a couple hundred propellers so you’re covered for a weekend of fun!

Great plane, I love it!
Beautiful Plane! Highly recommend it, for people wanting to get into rc flying. The size, detail, and speed are all amazing features. It is faster than the 400mm planes, but I got used to it quick, it’s a blast! It is very durable and has survived many crashes, the pop off propeller works like a charm. Great product!

Nice plane intermediate level RC plane!
This P-51 RC airplane from Volantex is a 500mm wingspan and is 3s capable. It comes with three 2s batteries and two USB chargers. For a little extra power, I recommend a Spektrum 300mah 3s battery. It has a JST plug and is compatible with this model. 2s is okay, but it doesn’t have enough power to climb quickly out of a piloting error, especially on safe mode. But it’s good for training (low approaches, touch & gos, etc). I have an almost identical P-51 from Eachine, which works very well. I like this one by Volantex just a bit more. I also have a couple of their 400mm planes. I think they make pretty good products. This plane is super quiet! You can fly low and slow right by yourself and barely hear the motor running. But it has good throttle control, allowing very scale-looking slow approaches, which is good for landing. I found the plane was trimmed well right out of the box. I didn’t have to tweak any of the wire control arms on the servos. All control surfaces were good and straight. I taxied it across my floor just to check the wheels. To my surprise, they were straight! I like that it is truly ready-to-fly! It even comes with AA batteries for the remote. This plane is for intermediate pilots. I would not recommend this for novice/beginner pilots. It takes lots of practice to learn to control these kinds of small RC planes as they are subject to being pushed around by the wind. That being said, this does best at wind speeds below 10 mph. On 3s, this has good power to pull all kind of stunts. I think intermediate level on the gyro is the sweet spot. It allows you to turn and climb faster. Expert level on gyro is almost un-flyable. If I do switch to that, it’s only for a second to pull off some stunt, then I quickly flip it back into intermediate or safe to save the plane from tumbling to its doom. Overall, I think this is a great plane. It’s a good value considering the spare parts you get and the performance of the plane. This would make a great addition to any skilled RC pilot’s collection!

Finally, an affordable truly flyable plane.
I've been reviewing rc boats, cars, drones and planes for several years now. The majority fall into predictable general categories corresponding to their price point. In general, the higher the price, the more bells and whistles the rc toy has. Once in a while however, you find one that exceeds expectations given the price point it is. This plane is one. It is well under $200, but other than the fact that it is so light, it has the capability to fly like those costing three times the price. First of all, it comes with three 400mAh lipo's, so you won't be spending your flying day charging batteries for several hours to get a half hour of flight time in. Unlike most of these cheaper Styrofoam planes, this one has all of it's control surfaces working from your controller. Wings, tailfin, stabilizer... all can be adjusted from the controller. They give you four propellers that are easily snapped on and off should you damage one. What I really like however, is their instructions. Several pages of very well written and easily read detailed instructions. Take the time to read them, as there will be a learning curve to flying this little jewel. They have three levels built into the software for novice middle and expert. I would strongly advise starting with the beginner level switched on. The only real negative with these lightweight rc planes is the fact that they are indeed featherweights. That means even the slightest wind will take it away. You will only be flying this on a day with little or no wind. Especially if you get it up high, the wind will take it away faster than you can try to fly out of that predicament. Calm days only for flying.
