The Roue SSD Watch combines vintage 1960s racing aesthetics with modern functionality. Stylish and affordable
For the price, I had to get it. I was willing to sacrifice automatic movement for sapphire, round face, full stainless back, replaceable band, 5 atm, the price and most of all, the look of it. If it was automatic movement the price would be around $500.00 by my guess. The watch face is not over-sized at all. For small wrists, it fits nicely. I have been finding a lot of watches are over 42mm and over 10mm in height. Too big for me, this is a nice fit for sure. I have not had this watch too long but so far I am extremely happy with it. It has a luminous glow at night and the dial looks sweet!

Good quality but bland aesthetics
I have a large collection of $150 to $800 watches, and am a fan of microbrands. Compared to offerings from, say, Phoibos, Christopher Ward or Junkers, however, the Roue SSD One just doesn't excite me. To me, the face is very plain and, frankly, too small for a modern man's watch. While the case is listed at 41.5 mm, the watch face occupies less of that space than is typical. I think the face size issue is exacerbated by the silver ring around the central black face. It looks like a bezel within a bezel. I'm also not enamored by the tiny crown with no signature. That said, fit and finish are strong for this price range. The PVD is very well applied, and the case back has some handsome etching. The quick release bands are also both well done.Given the good quality and the modest price, I'm going to hold onto the watch despite not being bowled over by the looks. And I would consider another Roue, with, say, a Miyota 9015 movement and a little more heft for $300-350.

Roue SSD One
This watch is a remarkable value. The design and manufacture of the case rivals watches costing multiples of the Roue. The sapphire crystal is beautifully clear and durable. The dial face is far beyond what youโd find on most watches in this price range. As for the movement, itโs a reliable Japanese quartz unit. While I greatly prefer automatic/mechanical movements, the design of this watch overcomes any objection one might have to quartz. In all, a nearly perfect execution of a unique and beautiful design.

Beautiful watch
Impeccable design. This is the coolest, most comfortable watch that I wear. Well made in my opinon and made with effective and satisfying detail in design. Extremely low profile, this solid watch is light and comfortable on the wrist. Accuracy is above average in mjy estimation. It came with two well made watchbands that fit my small/medium size wrists.

Awesome watch. Awesome price.
So far, so very good. Itโs easy to spend two or three times this much for a watch that ticks all the boxes. Thoughtful, even gorgeous aesthetics, more than decent crystal, comfortable band, and a movement that is quite accurate. Maybe 15 seconds lost in a month and-a-half. The hands hit squarely on the numerals/detentes with each tick. At first, the date arrived within the window, but I once I set it at a different time of day, it was fine. I own some very expensive German and Swiss watches. All of them have one or two faults. Iโm having trouble finding any with these/other Roue watches. Itโs possible that time will tell, but at under $200, I donโt care. No problems at all, so far. Yes, the bands arenโt top-drawer, but they are super comfortable and can always be replaced. Every Roue comes with two, and what they might lack in overall quality, they more than make up for in style. Plus, they are the kind with pin mechanisms for installation. No more fumbling. Iโm not sure how they did it, but these watches are winners, even despite the price point. Tons and tons of compliments. Highly recommended.
