Expensive. Tastes chemically. It’s sitting in the cabinet taking up space.

Tastes and mixes like sandy concrete. Maybe the worst taste and mixabilaty of any casin protein I've tried. Not eligible for return once opened. Would not recommend. Truly, so, so bad. Just say no.

This is the only casein I use now. Best value for quality in the horrible market of protein powders without sucralose "Gene-toxic when it breaks down in your body. A 2023 study from North Carolina State University, led by Dr. Susan Schiffman, found that sucralose-6-acetate, a compound found in the sweetener sucralose (Splenda) and formed during digestion, is genotoxic—meaning it breaks DNA. The research, published in the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, also indicated that sucralose-6-acetate damages the intestinal lining ("leaky gut")." The taste is to be expected if you have more than 2 firing brain cells. There's 3 ingredients. Protein, cocoa powder, and coconut sugar. 5g of sugar per serving... Unflavored Greek yogurt has 5g sugar per serving. I'd bet a tub of Naked they'd fully expect it to be sweet and not taste like sour cream. I have the opposite of digestive issues, it actually helps though I religiously drink over a gallon of water and get more than my daily fiber. Never found any rocks in my protein. Smells like cocoa powder and mixes thick but I have yet to find a casein that doesn't mix thick without drowning it in double the required water. If you're complaining about taste, and thickness when mixed and how it ruins having the "treat or experience" you're not really about this life. Just ignore before bed nightly casein shakes. Your fitness journey isn't going any further with them.

The results I had researched happen when I drink this before bedtime. I sleep much deeper, awaken less frequently. It seems my body is more at peace during the night. My taste buds are not as sharp, it it rather bland. I added 1 tspn of carob and 2 drops of Stevia, this really improved the taste!! I know this also helps the body recognize it as a healthy addition. For me, it has mixing challenges, I use a milk frother. This seems to mix it well, yet makes it almost too thick and frothy to drink. Today, I mixed it up, put it in the fridge keep it cold. Hoping by bedtime it is a better texture.

I also have a review for Less Naked Whey in my review history, it's a great product just like this Casein. One of my old athletic trainers used to tell me Casein protein is the "slow drip IV of protein". I have lots of things in life to thank for my size and mostly still muscular frame. I've always believed Casein protein is one of those things. The truth probably is, I'm hypoglycemic and with Casein feeding me throughout my sleep, I wake up feeling energized. For those with low blood sugar, they understand what I'm talking about. I was waking up with blood sugar readings of 37. Using Casein right before bed lets me wake up more in the 65-70 range. This Less Naked Casein chocolate is my favorite. I can take plain unflavored protein, but it has to be mixed with something like oatmeal. These Less Naked Casein and Whey chocolate powders have allowed me a whole new way to snack in the afternoon and at night. I really don't know much about coconut sugar except the anti-sugar crowd speaks against it being the lesser evil of table sugar. To me, it's a good sweetener that makes me feel good. I'm just drinking it as a shake mixed in water. The taste, as others have said, isn't very strong or sweet, but it's good and even has the smell of fresh chocolate. I don't mind the price either. If I wasn't drinking one of these shakes each night, I'd probably be drinking a local soft drink that costs around a dollar each. It's not a big trade-off price-wise and is helping me get back into good shape. Very impressed with this company and their various products. I'm currently using Less Naked Casein, Less Naked Whey and Naked Creatine. I have a 20 year history of taking supplements and believe these are the best I've used. The results are there, but I'm also realistic enough and experienced enough to know I'm eating better and working out more so results should be there. This helps me most with my nighttime cravings. Oh and I put the one negative on Less Naked Whey, had the same problem with the Less Naked Casein, the scoop takes a deep dive into the 5 pound tub. I had to use salad tongs to retrieve both of them. It's not enough to deduct a star, but it's worth mentioning in case someone buys some and thinks they forgot the scoop. It's down in there, you have to dig for it.

AWFUL tasting powder destroyed my nightly joy. I have been making the same smoothie every night for over a year. I have been using two brands of Casein Protein in my shake … until they were both sold out and had to use the Naked brand instead. The garbage taste of this Naked Casein Protein RUINED my shake. Maybe the ingredients are ‘naked’ but the taste is atrocious. UPDATE: This is NOT Casein Protein. I know what Casein does to my body and this does NOT have that impact. It defeats the damn purpose of sucking down Casein if it does not make you feel full and tied you over until morning. I have reduced this review down to 1 star because this garbage feels fraudulent … and I will be seeking a full refund for this over-priced slop.

I couldn’t imagine my life without it

First the positive: Good price and the product is doing what I wanted which was keeping my blood protein levels higher. Now the negative: It is by far the worst tasting protein I've ever had. I've tried mixing with milk and water. Nothing improves the taste. I will continue to buy it until I find a different casein protein that doesn't have soy, sacralose or seed oils. The options are pretty limited

Got a good feeling. Here are the combinations I tried. Chocolate casein + Banana +choc soy milk = 😋🤩 Chocolate casein + Banana + Soy milk = 😌 Chocolate casein + Banana + milk 🥛 = 🫤 Chocolate casein + 🥛 milk = 😬 Chocolate casein + water = 🤮

The texture of this protein is difficult to get past and no flavor. It's like tasting straight cocoa and swallowing moist chalk. I tried using it in recipes, smoothies and just mixing with water to get it down. I contacted the company to see if I could exchange/return the product and they were completely unhelpful. Just a response that said "we do not accept opened returns". This stuff is expensive and unfortunately I cannot support a company that doesn't provide good customer support or stand by their products.

Good large size, slow release protein

I think if you are use other brand proteins with special flavours or a strong sweet flavor you might be disappointed here. The flavor is really dull here. It's a very very light chocolate flavor. I use black coffee and a banana in with a touch of calorie free maple syrup. I'm just getting use to the lack of strong flavor. Plus side. I feel so full for a long time with this. It's a great morning protein as I normally don't eat till late afternoon or early evening.
