I’ve been a cold plunger for 3 years now. My journey started one afternoon when I discovered Wim Hoff on youtube. Being heavily into my health & fitness as a semi-pro athlete, I became so fascinated by the combination of breath work and cold water therapy. Less inflammation and more dopamine? Sure! The next day I began cold plunging and I’ve been hooked ever since. Life changing stuff. Starting out I tried a few different methods. First I used my bathtub at home and filled it up with water and then added ice. It was okay to start but after a while it became super inconvenient, time consuming and quite frankly.. messy. Cold showers were the next method and although they always feel great and refreshing, the water is never cold enough to really get that buzz. Next I bought a large bin along with a 3-step piece to make it easy to get in and out of. This was my main set-up for a good minute but in the warmer summer months, It became pretty apparent that even with adding extra bags of ice.. the bin had little to no insulation. Not the sexiest set-up in the world either… At this point I started looking into some DIY options. The idea of having a water-chiller connected ice bath ready to go at any point was extremely attractive, but looking online it seemed that the minimum spend was a 3-5 grand. Out of my price range for now. That’s when I came across this Prodigy X ice bath on Amazon. I was intrigued by the design and for the price I thought “why not give it a shot!”. I ordered and It arrived on my doorstep 3 days later. Set-up took less than 10 minutes. The instructions are clear and easy-to-follow. (TIP: set it up in a place you want to keep it, when filled with water it aint moving). On first impression it seemed pretty good and solid, but I wanted to test it out before making a verdict. I filled it with water, added 5 frozen 1L coke bottles I prepared earlier plus 3 bags of ice. I used the included water thermometer to wait until the water was 8 degrees and I jumped straight in. What I was most impressed with was the comfort. After the initial usual shock of immersing into the freezing water, after settling in and controlling my breathing, I noticed how comfortable it was. I could sit cross legged and rest my head back against the tip lip with such ease. A bit step up from the bin set up! After use, I found it extremely satisfying applying the included lid. It really makes the tub look appealing enough to suit any outdoor entertainment area too. It’s a very attractive all black, sleek looking set-up. All-in-all I wasn’t expecting much when I bought this but I’m very impressed. For the beginners out there, don’t waste your time on other set-ups and go for this straight away. For the price, it’s a no-brainer.

As a hockey player I've used cold water therapy in the past, but never had my own set up. This portable ice bath seemed a great option as it was very affordable compared to others, had a cool sleek look to it, and it came with the added thermometer which others did not. So after 2 weeks of solid use, I can confirm that this ice bath is great! I'm actually very impressed. Firstly, the set up was very simple and the instructions were clear with pictures to guide me through in under 5 minutes. Secondly, once set up with water and ice added, getting in and out of the tub is so easy! Because of the large size and wideness of the design, it's easy to simply step in and out of the ice bath with no strain and the tub is still big enough for me to get my full body (to the neck) in the water! How good is that! Thirdly, the lid and thermometer are very handy inclusions as the lid keeps debris out of the water when not in use, and the thermometer lets me know how cold the water is so I can make sure it's nice and chilly! Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. This ice bath has completely improved my post recovery and now I use it almost every day! If you're thinking about it, get it now! It's great!

Absolutely love our new ice bath! Putting it together was a piece of cake, no need for confusing instructions. Once it was set up, it felt super sturdy and strong. We were pleasantly surprised by how much room there was inside – plenty of space to stretch out comfortably. Plus, the lid is handy for keeping the water clean between uses. The thermometer is a neat addition – it's fun to see how tough we're being with the cold! And when it's time to empty it, the drain makes it an easy too. Overall, this ice bath is great. It's made a big difference in our recovery routine, and we couldn't be happier with it. If you're looking for a straightforward, reliable ice bath, this is the one to get – 5 stars all the way!

We ordered the product for our son for his birthday and had high expectations. After testing the product for the first time, we were all disappointed that the product was leaking at the valve. We then returned it and got a refund. The manufacturer then came back to us and said that it was very likely a fault because the gasket was missing and there was a leak as a result. In the meantime, we have not bought a new product yet. Then the manufacturer contacted us and kindly offered the opportunity to send us the product for free. We were very happy and full of expectations as to whether this was even possible and if the new product would work flawlessly. When we received it, we saw that in the first one was actually missing a gasket, which was the cause of the leak. We then tried the ice bath and the joy was immeasurable! Both for the product and for the exceptional gesture of the supplier. Thanks ProdigyX for a super product and above expectations experience!
