This works great to smooth out the dart tip if it gets a burr from hitting a dart already on the board or hitting the wire on the board.I would agree with other reviewers that it's more of a burr remover than a sharpener. The darts don't really need sharpening from hitting the bristle.

Takes care of the burrs I occasionally get from pop-outs onto a tile floor. Didn't know how to use it at first, but there's a Youtube video. Another great tip: Use this to scuff up brand new, high-polish darts for better hold in the board.

seems to be just as described - a simple block of a abrasive that should work perfectly to sharpen the points of your darts. Nothing special, but how special can something like this be? It does the job and the price seems fair and the shipping was very fast. Can't ask for more IMO

Works pretty well, although it doesn't quite restore a dart to its original sharpness.

Every so often, we all have those friends and/or girlfriend that completely misses the dart board when they throw your darts. Even if you play often, there is always the possibility of hitting the dartboard and having it bounce off. This little sharpener definitely gets the job done, and the design allows easy and precise sharpening. It's good to have to keep your dart tips sharp and like new!

This as not like a pencil sharpener. It does allow you to take burrs and little flat spots off your metal tips. I think it allows my darts to slide past the wires and stick in the board better. I don't use it a lot. I do like it. The price is right. It's small enough to carry with your darts.

This is a very handy little tool for a terribly inaccurate family of marksman throwing darts over concrete floors. Just give the dart tip a few twists and you'll straighten out any bend in no time. Absolutely worth it for just a few bucks. I sincerely hope you won't need this item hastily, however, because it will take about a fortnight to arrive.

Sometimes you're at a place that doesn't have any sort of covering on the cement floor. And darts when they bounce out always seem to land on the tip, the way buttered bread will always land face-down.This little gadget will help get rid of the resulting burrs on the point. It might more correctly be called a "burr remover" than a "sharpener," but who's to say?
