All 3 of our cats LOVE the catnip buds and From the Field is our go-to product. Here’s an update on the product with our 1 yr old kittens. We did a ‘taste test comparison’ between the ‘Bud’ and ‘something else’, clearly you can see who the winner is! Seeing is truly believing!😂 My kitty and I both LOVE this catnip! It actually smells like catnip for one, and for two its not a bunch of sharp splinters mixed with the catnip diluting the product. ~ That you have to sift through to make sure they dont hurt themselves on. Yes, you need to remove the catnip from the stems before you give it to them, but its REAL catnip and you would need to do that anyways! We only need to play for a few minutes and then she is done! LOL She wanto to lay down and relax because she is so high/calm. I leave a little it in a little ceramic dish for her anytime she needs to relax and calm down. The catnip comes in a deli container and was shipped in a bubble envelope. ~ Which is a totally unacceptable shipping method because it was completely CRUSHED and plastic shards were everywhere. I called customer service, and spoke w/ someone really nice, they sent me a new container that was only mildly crinkled. (the product was still sealed) The standard should be if its not flat it doesnt go in an envelope. That would save a bunch of people from being mad about damaged goods, but then again who am I other than the consumer...

The catnip buds look amazing, but I got a tub of very dried out old stock it seems.... I was able to rehydrate it with some Boveda packs. My cat loves it!

There is basically no smell to the catnip. We have 5 cats aged 8-15 y.o and they would only walk up and sniff and then walk away. Our cats usually go crazy with catnap and when applied to their toys, they will rub on it and lay on it and make contortions for hours. This is a bunch of hard stems and flower-like buds. No leaves and no way to enhance the smell. We took some of the buds and sprayed with water and still no smell and what was sent won't even absorb water. WE BUY EVERY DAY FROM AMAZON, EBAY, ETSY, AND SELLER SITES. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES WHEN WE CHALK IT UP TO NOT DOING OUR RESEARCH OF THIS SELLER. "DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS EXPENSIVE AND USELESS. IT HAS BEEN LAYING ON THEIR TOYS IN THE DEN FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS NOW AND THE CATS DON'T EVEN GO OVER TO SMELL IT BECAUSE IT HAS NO SMELL. DEAR SELLER---WHEN YOU CHARGE A HIGH PRICE FOR AN ITEM, WE EXPECT TO GET A QUALITY PRODUCT. YOUR PRODUCT IS NOT QUALITY. WE WENT TO WALMART AND BOUGHT CATNIP SEEDS TO PLANT IN OUR GARDEN. HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET THE REAL THING AND OUR CATS WILL LOVE IT. REALLLLLLLLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT.

The tub of catnip arrived well packaged and exactly as described. I was glad to see so many full buds, however, there were more stems that I was expecting. For me, it isn't really a problem as I have one cat who loves to crunch on the stems, but wanted to warn others. The first night I opened the tub, all the cats went crazy - immediately running from all over the house, yelling and purring. They rolled in it ecstatically, chewed on the remaining pieces, and then zoned out for awhile. Great! Or so I thought. After that first night, I have not been able to get them to react to it. They will offer a lazy sniff and then walk away. This is unusual, as all of them have previously enjoyed nip and usually love it when I bust it out. I even offered them an alternate brand (something you find in a big box store), to see if maybe they just weren't feeling it, but they all rolled in the cheaper stuff like usual. I am not sure what changed from unsealing the tub that first night and every subsequent time I've tried to offer it. Right now, I am mixing it to add mileage/bulk to the other brands I had on hand.

The kitty cats, two of them middle-aged absolutely love this stuff. I actually research good cat nip-what is good catnip-where does good catnip come from-what kind of rush does a cat get with good catnip versus bad catnip. After several days of research I narrowed it down to this company. Worth it!!

The second I opened this, my cats came running. The smell and the quality is absolutely perfect. I ran out of the catnip that I harvested in the fall, so this is a perfect replacement. Before I bought this, I bought catnip balls. They smelled like chemicals and were spray-painted green. My cats were instantly repulsed, so I decided to return those. Luckil,y I did, because I ended up finding this. The quantity is a decent amount and it’s gonna last a few months. I’m excited for my cats! Now I have something to distract them and use as enrichment, so that they don’t get stir crazy staying inside all winter! I will definitely recommend this product, and I will be buying it again!
