Montague Metal Products 32-Inch Deluxe Weathervane with Satin Black Retriever Ornament

The package arrived with clear instructions on how to assemble and install.My wife absolutely loves it! The design is strong and even though we experienced heavy winds the last couple of weeks, it is standing strong.My Christmas gifts sorted for this year.

There are three things I looked for when getting the lab weathervane.I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars.I wanted metalI wanted the lab to look like a lab.There are great weathervanes for over 400 dollars. Not for me.There are lots of copper/metal weathervanes where I just don't like the look of the dog. They call it a lab, but it could be a Golden or some other dog.This one looks nice. A black lab with nice detail.The price is great and it has nice touches with the brass globes.What I don't like is that the base is welded to the vane. I wanted to add an extension rod to the base so that I could display it on a stand till I mounted it.The weathervane extension has a screw in male end. And, all the weathervanes I looked at had a removable roof attachment to insert this attachment.And, this weather vane came with instructions that notes the roof attachment could be removed.But, it can't be removed. It is welded in place.So, great vane, looks good, but the roof attachment being welded in place prevents any extension or rod.Thus, four stars.

Purchased this as a gift for my dad and he LOVED it. This is the man who has everything and is obsessed with his chocolate lab so it was perfect and he mounted it on his deck versus his roof because he wanted to see it. That is how durable and lovely it is. Don’t know how much wind it’s catching there, but that doesn’t mean it’s not. Worth it for yourself or others!

This was a great addition when I rebuilt my shed. Well-made and detailed. I have a 14 1/2 year old Black Lab and this looks just like him. Now I have to get a Golden Retriever weathervane for my garage before my 13 1/2 Golden gets jealous.

Very nice looking and easy to install. This is a cast iron 3D model rather than the flat stamped type that are a little cheaper. The supplied base worked well to install it on our garage.

This turned out so good! We’ve had it on for several months now & We love it! My hubby didn’t particularly love the height for the install but it was a one time deal so he powered through it. Lol. It was easy to install. Looks great.
