Everything you need to know before you Buy!
I bought this 55’ TCL QLED TV for £289 after my old TV broke after 10 years of service. This tv was supposed to be in my bedroom so I bought a wall bracket to put it on the wall. They do offer services to have it fitted and I’ll recommend it. It came free for the service but you will have to buy the wall bracket beforehand. The TV value was great for the price with over TV’s of the same size and quality (QLED) being £50-100 more at the time. The picture quality was better than my previous TV which was just a simple LED TV, and it’s great for video gaming and the binge watching experience. This tv comes integrated with Fire TV which allowed me to connect it to my Amazon account and as I had a firestick before, it copied my data onto the Fire TV so everything was easily accessible. This TV comes with 3 HDMI ports and has Airplay capabilities which allows you to stream things from your IPhone (which I use). Using the Fire TV app, it allows you to use your phone as a remote which works incredibly and was a major advantage for me. Another great feature is that if you are a gamer and you have a console and set the input to that device, changing the input while turn on that device which I use for my PlayStation 5 and the TV remote actually works as a remote for whatever device you connect to which i believe is a secret feature I found. A couple of things to note is that this TV does not have an Auxiliary cable slot so to use any sound bar or external audio device, you would have to connect it Via Bluetooth which works. Another thing to take note of is that the TV although can connect to the Alexa dot, cannot be turned on or off via that device using voice commands such as “Alexa turn on TV” as this model does not have that capability. In terms of system reliability and performance, many other did report lagging or slow action when using the TV and I can confirm that this will happen at times but it is not too bad so don’t let it detour you from purchasing it especially for the value of the product. All In all, I’ll rate it 5* because for the price and all it comes with, it’s a cheaper reliable product and brand compared to others.

Ups and downs
Firstly picture quality is where you would expected OLED to be, looks really good and sound quality is good. This is my list of drawbacks considering I upgraded from an 11 year old Full HD Sony TV that was still running perfectly. -the biggest one for me is the limited compatibility with devices that can cast to the TV (Google Pixel and Meta Quest 3 can't see the TV), with the caveat that you have to manually enable screen mirroring to cast to it and it blocks Alexa features while doing so. -second annoying things is the compatibility with consoles, (PS3 & PS4). when powering on consoles it does turn on the TV, but doesn't switch automatically to the input that powered it on, just goes to home screen and have to manually switch to it. -third is the slowness of the device, which is on par with my 11 year old TV. -forth, when paired with the Alexa app or Echo Dot it can`t turn on the TV, status shows TV unresponsive (Note: i made sure all device are on the same network and check all settings). Also to note if I turn on the TV then Alexa can turn it off and on again for a short period of time. If the above do not apply to you it`s a decent TV over all. I will be returning mine.

This 55 " TCL TV is absolutely brilliant . The 4k and HDR are awesome the 120hz gaming mode on my Xbox series x does what it says . Netflix in 4k 100% and prime I 4k 100"% as for SD and normal hd they all brilliant too . Highly recommend for the price .

Good enough for simple usage
For a simple QLED, it’s a good tv, picture quality and brightness is expected, 4k and slightly bright, with greyish blacks, sturdy but plastic build and a familiar amazon Fire Tv software. But if you want a bright tv with almost OLED blacks, minimum haloing, would recommend MINI LED equivalent Q6C from TCL instead. Not giving 5 stars only because the software is slightly glitchy and slow processor chip

Good TV
Seems like a decent and well priced Smart TV so far. Only time will tell though. Never bought this brand before but it gets good reviews so I thought I would take a chance on it. This QLED model has a very good picture, very crisp and vibrant. A few years ago this level of picture quality would have cost a fortune. it's easy enough to set up and has pleny of features and It integrates well with my other Fire devices. It's a great screen for my games consoles and I can now play my Series X games at 120hz. The operating system can be slightly laggy at times but it's tolerable and you get used to it. Not really an issue for me. Sound quality is OK but I would recommend a sound bar. Build quality is respectable and the stands are sturdy enough. The remote is good and functions perfectly. At 300 quid I'm not expecting many years of use, I think folks are realising these days that TV's just don't last as long as they used to,. if I get three years out of it i'll be happy. It's a bargain just for the picture quality alone.

Okay for the price
Good picture quality and sound isn't too bad. The processor is really slow though. For example if you push the live TV button there's a delay of at least 5 seconds before anything happens and bare in mind during that time you can't push any other buttons, If you do it accidentally it gets old really fast! I got this on offer so was really cheap and you don't expect amazing quality for this price range. I also had a couple of problems with losing connection to the HDMI sockets which needs a TV restart to fix. Other than that seems reliable and if you want a cheap TV with good enough picture quality then it'll be worth it.

Excellent sound excellent picture would buy again
I love it the only thing I find is it’s smaller than my other 50” which is weird, but the sound quality picture and setting up was a doddle. I already have an Amazon account (tv) so I just signed in then waited for apps to load and signed in done the same with freely and plugged in my virgin box but seriously for the amount of tv I actually watch I don’t need virgin at all. I hung it on the wall with help and it is great I’m thinking of giving it to my mum and going for the 65” because of the size unless my old tv was bigger and I’d forgotten 🤦♀️ connection to WiFi was quick I did that first before anything else and the screen is perfect woohoo
