my 2 year old loves it.
Sounds just like a train and not too loud. My son plays with it almost every day. He can't blow into it that well yet so he gives it to us to do, but he's learning and I'm sure he will continue to play with it as he grows. Good quality and colors. Sturdy, has survived many falls and throws across the living room. If your little one is into trains, I think they will love this.

Nothing wrong with traditional whistle but this is cool too
My nephew is 32 months old. This was his first instrument. He enjoys taking I apart and carrying it around. He knows how to blow into it for the train sound, but for now he mostly loves that he can carry it. (It’s cool to him partially because it’s a different shape than his race cars that he carries around and he loves the colors) His other toys with sounds are battery operated and involve buttons, but he is enjoying figuring this out. I am unsure of durability, although he’s become very good at keeping his toys away from the dogs in his house, and he knows how to kindly let them know something is his before they go for something. (It’s very cute! I cannot vouch for a larger dog, they are a morkie poo, shi poo, and rat terrier mix.) I almost bought him the traditional train whistle like I grew up with, but I thought the description of this one was a fun idea. Oh yeah, he definitely loves race cars but he also thinks trains are the greatest too, and he loves train songs and videos. I think any toddler that is into vehicles or instruments would enjoy this toy. Soon this will be incorporated with some books about trains. Thanks for making this! It was a hit with the adults in the family too. (I am kind of a train geek myself and my husband is too, but even the adults that don’t marvel at trains liked this toy.)

Nice whistle
Great quality whistle. I was looking for something easy for my daughter to use, and she loves this! At only 15 months old, she can easily produce sound with this.

4 year old loves it
My 4 year old son loves this thing! He must've blown this whistle 50 times today, after we gave it to him this morning.Best part about it is that the sound isn't terribly loud or annoying. It sounds like it's supposed to -- a train, but not a horrible one that the neighbors would complain about.

Great for toddler!
Love this for my toddler with low muscle tone - it’s not too loud and will help strengthen his oral muscles. He loves it and so do we!
