Very Nice Quality Binoculars
I needed a pair of waterproof binoculars to use when on my boat. I carefully compared current offerings to try and find the best fit for my purposes. My must-have criteria were as follows:>Price less than $150>Waterproof, of course>Fairly compact, but good-sized objective lenses for nice bright views>Fully multi-coated lenses>Mostly good reviews by a significant number of buyers>Durable construction (per user reviews)These Wingspan 10X42 binoculars satisfied all these points well. The desire for compactness combined with decent-sized objective lenses called for the roof prism design, which based on many reviews of other models tended to be mutually exclusive with my other need for durability, as it seems that bumps can potentially move the prisms out of alignment on lower-cost models. Although I’ve had the binoculars for just a few days, so far it looks like Wingspan is doing well durability-wise; in that the binocular box was shipped in a larger box via USPS with no padding material whatsoever. I used to work for the USPS, so I know that handling of packages can be somewhat less than gentle. Yet upon trying the binoculars for the first time I confirmed that despite the inevitable bumps they received they were perfectly aligned! The general solid feel is further testament to quality construction, as is the lifetime warranty. A company would have to have confidence in their products to back them up with such a warranty, so I’m looking forward to a good long life for these. Durability is meaningless, however, if the view through the binoculars is poor. Here I can attest that the Wingspans are superb. They compare favorably with my Nikon binoculars. In fact, my wife thinks they are superior to the Nikons. The views are crystal-clear, very sharp edge-to-edge; with excellent contrast. Views of the night sky are very bright, revealing much more detail than the naked eyes could discern, so low-light terrestrial viewing should also be very good. Other observations: very nice quality strap and decent case, I LOVE the lens caps which stay attached to the binocular body to mitigate the risk of loss, smooth focus action, standard 1/4” x 20 socket for attaching a tripod bracket (although the bracket itself is not included). One final note: my eyes are relatively widely-spaced apart, and the two oculars are just barely wide enough to accommodate me: so they should easily be a good fit for most people.I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase so far, and would recommend these binoculars to anyone.

Bueno pero
Por un mal uso se corrieron los lentes internos entonces tuve que enviarlo a reparación, pero por lo general son buenos y me han durado bastante.

I Highly Recommend These Binoculars!
I feed wild birds, and I am an avid backyard bird watcher. For over 30 years, I have owned several different binoculars. My all time favorite has been the Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars - of which I currently own a pair. These Wingspan Optics EagleScout 10x42 binoculars are very much comparable to the Nikon. I especially like the 10 power magnification, and since I have a small yard, and I'm just watching from my back patio, the field of view is not an issue. Also, I wear glasses, and I consider the eye relief on these binoculars to be just as good as the Nikon. I find these binoculars to be light weight and easy to hold - of course, I do realize that I'm just sitting on my back patio and not hiking through a dense forest, or a steep mountain trail, lugging a pair of binoculars around my neck, and having to focus on a certain rare bird for several minutes, or scanning a vast expansive field for hours, searching for that rare bird.I am extremely happy with all the features of these binoculars... And the very best feature of all is that they cost less than half the price of the Nikon Monarch!

Fun and Entertaining Gift to Myself
These are fantastic. I've never owned a pair of binoculars, granted ( except for one that was a giveaway at a car dealership just for walking into their dealer, but it was like this laughable plastic thing ).. but wow, I can't believe the power on this compact beauty. I have two views at my apt - off my balcony, I have a river outside, and interesting predator birds sometimes that land on trees. And out my upstairs loft window, I have buildings and all kinds of city environment things to look at, which makes it interesting to people watch between creating a blog post, or programming a web page. The customer experience they deliver is quality. There are covers both the eyepieces and the lenses on the other side. There is a very decent carry case, as well as a neck strap. Nothing left out that would make you want to go back on amazon and search for that missing accessory that you wished would've come with it.

Lives Up to Claims
Just unboxed these and got a pleasant surprise. Optics are clear edge to edge. Focus easily and the diopter seems to stay put as you focus. I can tell a difference from my Pentax but doubt I will ever encounter a field situation where that would make a difference. Plus if someone threatens me, I can hand these over without worrying if I will have to sell a kidney to replace them. I do advise most birders to stay with 8x glasses and will probably add a pair of those, but these will be great birding from the car or my front porch seat where stability will not be a problem. Great to see quality glasses at a reasonable price and I hope it will draw more folks into birding. For a nature center loaner program the 8x42 would be ideal.
