Amazing for the Price
I bought this speaker wire specifically to do home installation of speakers in my home theater. I have 7 speakers in my home theater all either in the ceiling or in the wall. The price was great especially since I needed so much of it, and so I bought it with the idea that if it didnt work, I would not have wasted a lot of money. They wire is very flexible and easy to work with, something that especially good when you are running this wire through ceilings and walls with insulation, among other things in it.I install speakers/home theaters for a side business and have used more "professional" quality speaker cable before and I used this for all my speakers and to be honest I couldn't tell if there is a difference between this speaker wire or the higher priced "professional" speaker wire. I would and already have recommended this product to anyone who is looking for a more inexpensive option. An great product at a great price point.

Copper wire, but unmarked
The wire I received appears to be pure copper, not copper-clad aluminum as earlier reviewers said they'd received. However, the outer jacket is totally unmarked, and there's nothing on the product itself to indicate that this product is in fact CL2 rated. It may well be, but without any labeling, it's unlikely that any building inspector will take your word for it. Therefore, I can't recommend this wire for any project where inspection will be necessary, or where you need CL2-rated wire for a safe installation (such as for in-wall use). That said, it's quite reasonable speaker wire and works just fine. At 14AWG, it will easily support most home-stereo installations without introducing power losses. If you're even thinking of using inexpensive bulk speaker cable instead of vastly-overpriced "audiophile" cable, you've probably already heard of the A-B tests where listeners couldn't reliably tell the difference between audiophile cable and straightened-out wire coathangers when used as speaker wire. This cable is definitely better than a straightened-out coathanger.

Great deal, better quality than expected.
I ordered this wire to install some in-ceiling speakers in my office. For the price, I was not expecting particularly high quality, but the quality seems just as good as high priced, name brand wire. I have no complaints.

No pure copper
I was curious why it was so cheap but was like whatever, its wire.Turns out its actually copper clad aluminum.Pretty dirty trick and low.It did work well and my speakers sound awesome though.Fortunately because it was so cheap I got a lower guage so with it being CCA it turned out okay.

Unmarked cheap CCA wire, not suitable for in wall installation
Be aware before you purchase this item that the wire jacket and spool are both completely unmarked. In wall rated wire should have CL2, CL3, CM or other rating marked on the jacket. Best case scenario, this may be in wall rated but your building inspector may require you to tear it all out as it is unlabeled and cannot be installed in wall according to the National Electrical Code. Worst case scenario, this wire may not be in wall rated and can pose a safety hazard. Also, this is copper clad aluminum, not the better quality pure copper that is recommended.

One Star
It was not twisted pair. It was basically lamp cord.
