This radio is amazing.Really shines on AM,esp at night.Too many features to mention.SSB works great, but sometimes gets a little vibration but not a problem in listening.Air band works FANTASTIC. I pick up the tower from an airport 45 miles away.Has squelch.Does have a learning curve as some buttons have multi function. Very sensitive on all bands.I live in the midwest and pick up stations from China during the day.You can listen to military air bases and hams on ssb.Come in very good with just a 60 ft speaker wire stuck outside.Battery life last forever.Has nice weight to it coz it's solidly built. For the price WELL WORTH IT.Buttons are solid as well as tuning wheel

This little radio has very good reception for both FM and SW. ( I haven't tested it for AM) It is very small, so if you want a small FM receiver with external antenna jack and great FM DX ability, this is the one.

Fair price for the advanced features. PROs: 1. Excellent FM DX reception when used with the provided plug-in cable antenna, easily pulls in a 60-70-mile FM station inside a house on a small hill. 2. AM and SW have a few bandwidth options, which increases the sound quality if the signal is strong. That feature is usually found on much more expensive radios. 3. RDS allows you to read the title & artist of the current song, if the station updates track info. RDS also provides the station ID. 4. The DISPLAY option toggles, and it gives you signal strength and a quality value, which helps you find the best antenna position. This is unique, and I use this information frequently for finding the best reception location in the house. The temperature can also be displayed. LW longwave is useless in the Midwest. SW rarely pulls in stations, but when they do, the bandwidth feature can increase the sound quality. SW programming is more diverse in the Americas and in Europe. Major broadcasters (BBC, DW, RFI, Radio Exterior de EspaƱa, RAI) abandoned the US years ago, assuming that every American has fast Internet for streaming. The "clock" appears to forget its time. But that's not important to me. Everything else has been mentioned in other reviews already.

Good radio but small, good sensitivity but SSB is not that great. Good reception on FM and AM. Sound quality is ok, use the external antenna jack for better reception on AM and SW.
