Fan is way too weak, even at max level. For personal swamp coolers like this you want the fan to actually push the mist out into the room, with this unit you can barely feel the breeze 10 inches from the fan. Nice and quiet, but at the cost of ANY usefulness.

Definitely sort of helped to cool one pretty small room. It doesn’t go through much ice, which is a pretty good indication to me that it’s cooling capacity is not great. We bought a slightly larger one, that goes through quite a bit of ice, and actually keeps most of our office tolerably cool!

This little unit surprised me how well it works!! it came just in time because our main air conditioning quit!! I got this for just laying out in the sun, but this came through for us in our house. It’s not gonna cool down a big room but sitting right beside you. It’s gonna give you a nice cool effect.. The lights are really fun the way they light up and it really does give a mist of water that comes out. It’s been running for more than six hours and we haven’t even had to refill the water and that’s a big bonus. I figured it was something small. You might have to refill water but not on this totally worth it.
