Nutro Wholesome Essentials Adult Dry Cat Food, Salmon & Brown Rice Recipe, 3 lbs.

Hopefully I will be able to video our cats reacting to this food because it was 100% favorable. So much so that they behave like it is a royal treat. One of our cats literally climbs up on top of the table when he sees me setting the bag on the table to open it (don't worry; I disinfect the table afterwards haha).They have been eating the same grain-free food from another brand for 7 years and they certainly seemed to be OK with eating it. For all those years we had thought it was a sensible choice; HOWEVER, we had noticed in the past months that their health was not as robust as it had been nor should be, considering their lifestyle and environment. We take good care of them, they get plenty of fresh pure water, fresh grass outside to chew on, fresh air, lots of love. We started thinking: 'we've eliminated every other possible cause of the issues we were seeing; the only thing left is the food!'SO, we took the leap and searched for another brand and chose NUTRO WHOLESOME ESSENTIALS for its reviews, the ingredients I read about, and the price (had to be within our budget).The price, per pound, is definitely higher than the previous brand we were purchasing.With that said, so far the benefits it has had so far with our two cats is noticeable. Their response to it is dramatic!Their fur and skin is glossier. Our one cat was having a LOT of skin irritation where he was rubbing on all kinds of things excessively on a daily basis and scratching constantly at his face and ears to where he was raw and/or bloodied. His eyes were affected. I FINALLY thought maybe it was their old food? Our other cat had a lot of dandruff previously.So, to anybody who is taking the time to read this lengthy review: You might think we're kind of dummies that we didn't even think about their food being a problem. That's OK because we felt rather silly ourselves that we had not thought of food first!But sometimes we simply overlook the most obvious.We both HIGHLY recommend this food and if our cats could speak we believe they would concur.Although we are paying more for our cats' food it is so worth it!And one thing that occurred to me is that because it is more nutritionally dense than their 'old' food - we can actually feed them a little bit less because they are getting more out of the amount they are consuming.They are now flourishing as we always had wanted for them.VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMERS HERE!

My cats are 10 & 11. They have been eating this brand for as long as I can remember. Came highly recommend by specialty pet store and approved by vet. They are both Burmese cats who always have way too much to say! Their fur is shiny & silky! Their weight is ideal and doesn’t fluctuate. Most importantly, they are healthy & happy! They rarely have hairballs or throw up. The older cat strains in the litter pan at times because he is VERY particular about his water! I have different water bowls around the house, and a fountain with a spout. He loves drinking from the sink when water is running! Some cats just prefer running water. Who knew? I am adding wet food to their diet slowly. They love it! Hope your kitties love Nutro as well and live a long, healthy life!

I have an older cat that would throw her food up all the time after she ate. I was giving her Purina gentle originally. It never failed she would throw it up after she ate. I tried swirls next- nope threw it up. I tried a few other brands. Nope. So I did some reading on here from other pet owners with the same issue.I bought a sensitive stomach Science diet and it worked okay but she did not seem crazy about it. I wanted to try this brand and she loves it. No throwing up. She still is hungry after she eats(she wants can food all the time- she may be spoiled)but no throw-ups. I will have to take her to the vet. I think she may have a thyroid issue she never seems to gain weight. This product does the job though- she really does like it.

So far this seems to be doing okay for my little girl I have had issues with her and having proper healthy food and not cheeseburger crap food we'll see.

Wow. I can’t tell you how glad I am that I switched. One of my cats was really having a problem keeping the IAMS sensitive stomach formula down. He was getting sick more and more frequently 😢. This is not that much expensive and I can tell it’s a higher quality and most importantly both of their digestive systems approve. They both seem playful and happy. I think it’s a richer , denser formula because the IAMS was a 6 pound bag , this is 5 pounds but they’re eating less volume than they were. I’m thrilled that their health has improved , seems higher quality and they seem very happy with it. Yay !!!!! 😀

Our felines only veterinarian recommended mixing this dry food with other dry cat foods. All 3 of my indoor kitties and 2 visiting outdoor cats love Nutro. I feel the outdoor cats also need better nutrition than grocery store dry food. No foul odor, small kibble keeps them all happy with beautiful coats!

Recently added this dry food to my cats diet along with wet cat food daily. There was no hesitation in my cats desire to the change.I found buying this size from this seller was the best price out thereWill buy again

My cats appear to be enjoying this food very much. In fact, we've had to be careful about how much we feed them as they will eat as much as we put out for them. This leads me to believe they like it very much.

Switched over from a cheaper food and after a few weeks have noticed my cat's coat is shinier. She seems to like the salmon flavor.

My cat loves this one.
