Twilight Garden expansion for Mystic Vale adds new cards that allow a player to gain, or discard, Curse Tokens. Curse Tokens are negative victory points that will be applied to the players score at the end of the game.The advancements given in the game deal with having to obtain, remove, or give Curse Tokens. They also allow players to give their cards to another player, switch out vale cards, and obtain level three advancements for free. Vale cards give negative victory points along with positive victory points. Few even allow a player to score additional victory points for each negative victory points found on Vale cards. There is also 4 new level three advancements called a Legendary Advancements that takes up two slots on a card.Leader cards found in this expansion also use the new Curse Tokens, allow players to look at their draw deck, and obtain advancements from the common area for free. The most interesting leader is Le Que- Corrupted Soul, who allows a player to instantly win the game if they manage to draw 20 cards into their field when the leader is in play. If they cannot do this, the other ability is being able to choose four cards found in an opponents field and that opponent add one of those cards to the top of Le Que's player deck. The biggest draw back is the leader comes with a negative 100 victory points listed on it.This expansion adds some new additions to the game that help give more variety. It is also possible to replace the core cards of Mystic Vale with this set. This is good as players should get use to the new game mechanics before mixing them in with the rest of the cards. One draw back is AEG did not provide Conclave cards for those that have Mystic Vale Conclave. If a player would want Conclave cards for Twilight Garden, they can print them from the AEG website. Again, for those that like to add more to their base game of Mystic Vale, this is a good addition as the additional cards and leaders do change up what is expected in a game of Mystic Vale.

This expansion doesn't include the dividers which the large box started using for each group so to speak.
