Exactly what you want it to be
I love this bike so far! I was looking for something that I could use at home and also take away to college because I don't really have a place to store exercise equipment. I chose this because it can fold up and potentially fit in a closet. When the box first came, it was a lot heavier than I expected. At first I was slightly disappointed by this, but the more I think about it, the more I'm okay with it because it means the bike is sturdy and strong. Once I got the pieces out, I could tell that this is definitely true. Assembly was easy enough...I work very slowly on things like this because I want to make sure everything is correct. Plus, I'm not exactly handy with tools and such. However, this was mostly aligning holes and putting bolts in place. It didn't take much time or stress for even me to figure out. However, I did have to look at the diagram of "labels" in order to figure out which cross bar went on the front and which went on the back. One had wheels, so I wanted to make sure this is correct. I saw in some reviews that people had stripped the left pedal when trying to put it on because you have to screw it in counterclockwise instead of clockwise, but I'm not sure how they managed to make this mistake because the instructions call attention to it like four times. Also, I saw that someone had complained that the remote holder didn't come with screws to attach it, but maybe they lost theirs because mine definitely did. Using the bike is awesome. The display works just as it should and pedaling is smooth and quiet. Like, almost silent. The seat is huge and therefore quite comfortable...it's even more comfortable than the really expensive bikes at a gym I used to use. It is definitely more comfortable than a normal bicycle. I'm 5'4" and I can reach the pedals comfortably. My parents, who have owned several pieces of exercise equipment in the past, say it is way better than any exercise bikes they have ever owned. All in all, I'm extremely thrilled that I found such a great bike for such a great price.

Great bike at a great price!
When I received my bike and opened the box I was quite overwhelmed with what i though would be an all day process of putting it together. I had glanced through the book taking notice of the page titled "overview drawing" that had each part numbered. I dedicated the next day to putting it together and hopefully getting in my first workout. Well, I'm happy to say that it was not the job I thought it was going to be (don't mistake the parts list page as what you have to put together). I had the bike together in approximately an hour. The bike has a well built frame with no messy welding job and the instructions were easy to follow for installing the parts(front and back stabilizer bars, pedals, seat, handlebar). The handlebars seems very sturdy and the console in the center scans the functions of time, odometer, calorie, pulse, and distance when exercise is detected. What i noticed first off when i got on to ride is the smoothness of the pedaling and how quiet it is. Also when i adjusted the tension control knob it switched with such ease. I did have to do some adjusting of my seat until it felt comfortable to me. I put in a 30 min. ride my first day and it felt fairly comfortable. I did feel I was having to sit toward the very front of the seat. As someone else had already commented before, the pedals are not located closer to you like in a regular bike, they are forward, almost like a recumbent bike but yet you don't have that kind of seat. All in all I think this is an excellent bike for the money. You can get in a good cardio workout while strengthening your leg muscles. I would recommend this bike to those who are looking for a low impact exercise. Maybe your more of an outside power walker but can't when the weather is bad. It' s also great for people who have limited space for exercise equipment. One thing that does need to be redesigned is the so called "bottle holder." You might be able to fit an empty bottle in it once you've flattened it as much as you can. I've been using it to hold my t.v. remote while riding.

Finally, a satisfactory resolution.
Review #2 (updated): A continuing saga - The replacement bike that Amazon sent assembled and worked just fine. We've had this bike for nearly 2 years. My daughter is now taking it over, and we've ordered a second Exerpeutic bike (same model). The digital display finally failed and I wrote to the company for a replacement. They sent one right away (which was very easy to install) and they didn't charge for the replacement. Good on you guys! At this price point this unit is a very good value for the occasional exercise; quite sturdy. Review #1: After receiving the first Exerpeutic model 1200. The first order was delayed by a week due to weather, we are told. The exercycle finally arrives. We remove all the parts. It looks fairly simple to assemble. We get it half assembled, but then discover that the nylon nut that holds the left pedal to the threaded shaft is defective. It won't remove from the shaft, therefore we can't assemble that pedal. We then called the the manufacturer's customer service number. No one answered so I left a message describing the problem. Amazon provided the phone number. No one returned the phone call. Next I sent an email describing the problem and requesting a replacement pedal and nut. No one responded to the email either. Forget them. Amazon wrote advising they were sending a new exercise bike and picking up the defective one. Now all we have to do is pack up a myriad miscellaneous parts. Thanks Amazon. You did your part. Exerpeutic failed. Review #2 - Update Amazon kindly sent up a replacement Exerpeutic upright exercycle model 1200 two days after our failing to assemble the first exercycle due to a faulty right pedal assembly. (Oh, we finally heard from the manufacturer - Paradigm - but late, and not until the replacement product arrived from Amazon two days later.) (Thank you Amazon you did your job). Sad to say, when we unpacked the replacement model 1200, the same problem reared its head. The nylon pedal nut for the right pedal unscrews just fine. The left pedal screw, unfortunately, doesn't. It's jammed onto the threaded pedal shaft and won't come off. We already wrote - again - to the manufacturer. Clearly, it's a production problem. However the left nylon nut is screwed on to the left pedal shaft it's jamming on the threads. Paradigm needs to remove those pedal nuts and include them in the parts bag, not partially screwed onto the pedal shafts. We're now awaiting a 3rd resolution to this problem before we throw up our hands and look for another product. It's a shame because for the money the product appears to be a good value and constructed nicely. Review #3 - Resolution I finally resorted to a vise grip and box wrench to wrest that nylon nut from the threaded pedal shaft. Lo and behold it finally released. The exercise bike has now been assembled. It was relatively easy and took about 15 minutes. The Exerpeutic (odd name) works fine and for it's modest price pretty-much fits the bill; at least for our family of two retired adults. The adjustable seat must be adjusted manually, by getting off and resetting the height hole. This may prove to be a bit inconvenient for different height users. Otherwise, the pulse magnetic flywheel works quite well. The data screen is LCD and again basic, but gets the job done. If you want a more sophisticated exercise bike with preset programs and an easier to adjust seat, you'll have to pay more. The construction is more than adequate with the weight bearing parts made out of solid metal (maximum of 300 lbs) and the handle bar and data housing made of high impact plastic (metallic color). We'll use the unit for awhile and report back any further findings. Thanks again to Amazon for outstanding customer support.

Very good quality and very quiet!
This is an excellent bike. Very compact and very quiet. Very easy setup and a simple bike to use, nothing complicated. Just sit and pedal away.

Wow. I’m impressed.
Wow Super nice bike. For $200. this bike is great value. It’s very study. Pedals very smooth and quiet. Seems very substantial piece of exercise equipment. It took me about 45 minutes to put together. Taking my time. Very easy. Bolts and washers are pre assembled. You just remove then re-attach to the part. The console works nicely. Seems accurate. The seat isn’t as cushioned as I would like but not a big deal. I spent a few hours trying to figure out which exercise bike I should get and I’m so glad I chose this one. I’m 5’5” and have the seat on the third lowest setting. The resistance knob is super nice , large and turns with clicks to increase or decrease. It’s so smooth. I’m impressed and recommend!

The BEST PURCHASE I have made in 2017!
I ordered this bike after considering the Pelaton and other expensive bikes. The reviews for this bike sold me. It arrived very well packaged. I looked up youtube video for assembly and then simply followed that by memory. Very easy setup. It took me about 30 minutes total, including unwrapping the package. I tried it today. Small enough for limited spaces but sturdy and solid. It's heavy to pick up but easily manageable with the two front wheels that will engage the floor as soon as you tip the bike. I rolled it from a closet storage to my living room and climbed aboard. I am 6 foot tall. I am 53 years old. I could reach the pedals at the next to tallest seat setting with a nice stretch during the pedaling. My wife is 5 ft tall. She lowered the seat to the lowest position and had no trouble at all with comfort during pedaling. For myself, I remained higher for the warmup of 10 minutes on the 1st tension setting and then lowered the seat to the next lower setting for a more thigh engaging round. I tried all of the tension settings and found all of them workable and easily switchable. The seat is comfortable and well padded. I also sat both back and close on the seat and both were great positions to alter the workout a bit. Don't forget to plug in the display module during setup. I forgot to do so myself and realized such when the display was not working. Once corrected, the display is easily read and will shift through the multiple readouts. Essentially, I only care about time and heart rate. By touching the button, when the reading is where you want, the display will remain on that point. To move away, just tap the button again. Very simple. The machine is quiet. I was impressed by this. I was also impressed at how the stability of the bike feels secure. After the workout, I simply pulled the pin, raised the seat-side of the back upwards, slid the pin into the last hole and the bike was ready to roll away or just get out of the way. In conclusion, I am thrilled at my decision to NOT spend over 1K to buy the fad-bike peleton. In fact, I'd rather watch TV or a movie, listen to music, or work on my phone than hear a coach try and push me to strive harder - since the coach costs me much $$ and uses my download data. Nope, I don't need all that. I need a bike I can move, jump on, work quickly, and be happy. The cost of this machine, ease of setup, usage, and quality makes it my BEST PURCHASE OF 2017.

Great Buy!
I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase this bike, and I am happy with my decision. Price: I didn't want to spend a lot, but I needed an exercise bike to help me get some cardio in. I have tried so many times to get into shape and finally thought that it might be easier for me to get some cardio in if I could do it in my own home. It's so great to be able to workout judgement free! This price was REALLY good, and the reviews were great. Set-Up: This machine was SO EASY to assemble. I cannot stress how easy it was. I am one to get easily frustrated, so I warned my husband not to try to talk to me while I was doing this.. and I didn't get frustrated ONCE. It took me 30 minutes to put together and nothing was stressful. The manual was very easy to follow. First Use: I set the machine up in my living room because it allowed me the most space to do so. After it was all together, it was so easy to fold up and move to the room where I wanted to workout. The bike is SO QUIET, so I don't have to feel bad about making a lot of noise at any hour of the day that I choose to use it. This machine has eight different levels of difficulty, and I think that level eight (the hardest) is as difficult as I would want it to go. The display is easy to read and use, and I love the pulse option because it allows you to stay within your desired heart rate. The machine felt very stable and I was never worried that something might break or that it might fall over. I've seen a lot of reviews saying that the seat is awkward, but I really like how wide it is. I did put a towel on the seat for my first use because I know that whenever I use any exercise bike my butt always hurts after. I sweat up a storm after the first use. Literally the ONLY negative thing I can say about it is that I wish there was a place to hold my tablet so I could watch Netflix while riding. Instead, I set up my laptop on a nearby shelf. Or, I could easily move the machine to the living room to watch TV (when I'm home alone, of course.) Overall, I really like this machine and the fact that the customer service from the company seems to be really great in case something goes wrong. I would recommend this to my family and friends and anyone looking to get some exercise at home. :)

This is an excellent stationary bike that doesn't take up much room and is very quiet.
This is an excellent statiionary bike. It was easy to assemble, and I use it regularly while watching shows on my computer. It gives me a good workout, exercises my lower belly very well with the pedaling, is very quiet, and has good features on it. It is also not made in Communist China (which is always a good thing). It is made in Taiwan, and I am fine with that. I would recommend this stationary bike to anyone (well, anyone who weighs less than the maximum-stated weight which is a little over 300 lbs that is). It is convenient and doesn't take up much space. It is goooood.

A voir à l'usage.

Easy set up, totally worth the money!
Just for background, my husband and I are both well over 200lbs and we feel sturdy on this. Tried to shake it while sitting on it and it is completely stable. I will say installation of the bike was easy as well, I read about people getting confused but if you read and follow the manual properly it really is not difficult. I assembled it with no problems which is saying something because I once screwed up building a lack table from Ikea. Usage wise I would say this bike is extremely worth the value. The tension on the bike is very accurate. When using the bike it is very quiet, no sound coming from it at all. Moving the equipment around is easy as well, the wheels are a bit stiff, but that's just because they were new/never used. Three super tiny miniscule small things though: 1. The phone/remote/etc. holder on the bike is quite low right where my thighs are, so when I use the bike it does scrape against it. If you don't like this then no problem at all, just don't install this part. Doesn't make a difference on how good the bike is. 2. I am a little under 5'5" and I do feel myself having to extend my legs more when I ride the bike. Maybe I'm just not used to it 🤷♀️ 3. The odometer feature on the display does not reset. No matter how many times you push on the button and hold it, it will not reset and it states that in the manual. In order to do a hard reset on the ODO, you have to remove the batteries and put the back in. All in all, solid 10/10 bike. Been looking for one that could hold over our weight just for peace of mind. Found this one and it does not disappoint. We got this during a discount so it was $198. Adding the price here to give future customers hope that the price does indeed go down!
