The wall ball is approximately 15" in diameter.

Its a standard wall ball size. Im not sure the exact measurements, but it is the same size as all xtraining equipment wallballs that I own. So look up those measurements and that will tell you.

why does a 6# ball cost more than an 8# ball

My guess is it's like buying a pound of turkey v 15 pounds of turkey. I presume the added material costs more and that is passed on to the consumer.
