At our summer cabin our 4year old grandson didn't go outside without it! He really liked it because the wrist straps made them easy to carry these along with his bug catcher. They are very sturdy and nicely executed in wood. We try to avoid too many plastic toys.

This is so useful for my 2.5 yr old daughter. She’s always getting this kit if she sees insects crawling on our window. She would use the whistle to get the attention of the bug (as if the bug would pay attention to it 😂) then will use the magnifying to observe it. Great product!!

I am happy with this item it is as advertised. However I would suggest you take care to protect the lens from hard objects. Unsurprisingly the lens got scratched because it was in the same bag as a rock.

Great for young children. At first I was worried because it didnt have a handle but it actually works better for holding it easily for our grandson. He loves it!!

This has been such a hit with my two year old. We primarily use it outside at parks or on trails, but it has even helped to occupy him while waiting in a doctor's office. It's the perfect size and shape for chubby little fingers, so much easier to hold onto than a traditionally shaped magnifying glass. Ours has gotten wet with no issues. I took the tethers off because I thought they would just get in the way, but I suppose they might be helpful for an older kid. The whistle works great.

Our little explorer got these for his birthday. He loves them. They're very well made, and perfectly sized for young children's hands and coordination level. However, our 10 and 12 year old kids are often found borrowing them too. :) Great gifts. Great brand.

These are perfect for packing with my kids when we go hiking! They love having the magnifier to look at bugs and rock formations. The whistles are mainly for emergency use for us.

We’re very happy with these. The whistle is not too loud so it’s not annoying for the kids to play with. The magnifying glass has a rubbery edge which seems to protect it from the inevitable drops and falls!

My grandchildren loved these as they've always had an interest in small insects and can now see them up close. They used the whistle to call to each other
