Axminster Trade Vices Quick Release Carpenter's Vices - 175mm(7")

I reviewed quite a number of these tools before deciding upon the Axminster. The bench I had made needed beefing up beforehand but that was not an issue. It is quite weighty and it helps to have all the necessary fixing holes prepared.All in all well pleased with the choice and YouTube can advise on making the jaws if needs be.

You get what you pay for, and this an order of magnitude better than the one I had already. It is big and heavy, so make sure it is the right one for you before ordering!

I have no real issue with the vice itself; If fact it performs very well, but …The box literally contained the vice in a plastic bag with no dimensions or notes for installation making the installation more tricky than it need have been … I paid just short of £80 and would have expected a bit more … it was like receiving something from an unknown company in China; I found this disappointing.Also, be aware, it is extremely heavy.

This vice feels quality in every aspect. I am very pleased with my purchase
