Q: i am losing bluetooth connection all the time. Very often. It varies from left to right. Does this matter if not connected to bluetooth?

Great question. No, you do not need to be connected to bluetooth to use the hearing aids. All settings are saved directly to the hearing aids so sound will be exactly the same regardless of whether you are connected. The only time you need to connect to bluetooth is if you want to update your actual audiogram. If you are far away from your phone or there is something like an apple watch your phone is trying to connect with it will sometimes cause a temporary disruption in bluetooth signal. If you're having bluetooth problems try turning off nearby bluetooth devices that your phone might be trying to connect to. Q: what's the difference between BTE and RIC?

Our BTE (Behind the Ear) model has a receiver behind the ear and sound is piped through a thin plastic tube to your ear canal. A RIC (Receiver in Canal) hearing aid has that receiver sitting actually in your ear canal. RIC hearing aids send sound through a wire to your ear canal rather than a tube. Different people have different preferences. Blaids offers both RIC (BlaidsX Neuro) and BTE (BlaidsX Pro) which both have very high customer satisfaction ratings.
