So... I have two 65 lb. Pittie’s and they generally don’t tear things up that aren’t meant to be torn up. Dog toys and such have a short shelf life, but outside of the puppy stage the furniture and most items around the house are safe. For that reason, I thought the two new Furhaven beds I bought them were safe. Nope, for some unknown reason I was gone for a morning and I came home to find one shredded.Ugh. To say I was pissed is a massive understatement. I was seriously ready to kill them. They were “this close” to being... passed on! No more! Ceased to be! Expired and gone to meet their maker! Stiffs! Bereft of life, and resting in peace! Pushing up the daisies! Their metabolic processes being history! Off the twig! Kicked the bucket, and shuffled off their mortal coils, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THEY WERE THIS CLOSE TO BEING EX-PITTIES!!After a bit of yelling and screaming and putting the fear of dog in them cooler heads prevailed. It took me a couple of days to summon the energy to clean up the pieces of the bed, but in doing so realized that I just might be covered under the Furhaven “Worry-Free 60 Day Program”... and I was. I contacted Furhaven and emailed them photos of what was left of the bed and they sent me a new replacement. Thank You Furhaven.As the beds go they are really nice. I purchased two of the:Furhaven Pet Bed for Dogs and Cats - Plush and Velvet Waves Perfect Comfort Sofa-Style Cooling Gel Foam Dog Bed, Removable Machine Washable Cover - Granite Gray, Large ( Item / model number: ‎88449537)For my two 65 lb. Pitbulls these large beds are a perfect size. They easily fit one to one and a half dogs, and since my younger 5-year-old female has no concept of personal space they are often both found in one of the beds together. The quality seems fine... unless your Pitbulls are on a, ummm, tear. They are nice and soft. About the only thing I can think of, only word of advice is to maybe take them apart and wash them once a month. When the one got shredded it prompted me to wash the one that wasn’t and it was dirtier inside on the foam and cooling gel bit than I thought it would be. Long story short, I am quite happy with having found and purchased these beds.

I knew this bed would be too big for my giant pound golden but he was hanging off his other large bed and it had gotten so flat. I was not expecting it to be big enough for him and the two cats but it is with room to spare. I wanted a high quality very thick bed for him that would be durable and last. I know we have found it with this Furhaven bed. He LOVES it and it is so soft and comfortable. I can even crawl in it with him. Love the materials and it’s very high quality. I will say that it took longer to fully expand than the instructions said and I did have to use my steamer several times to have it expand completely. So do review the instructions and online videos if it’s slow to expand. But well worth it when your pup climbs up in it to snuggle up. And keep it where it’s flat and nothing gets on it until it’s fully expanded. The wait is worth it! Buy it!!!

My dog chewed up his last bed and I was not going to pay the price wanted for the exact replacement so got this one instead. It is just as nice as the $89 one and my doc took to it wonderfully.He still wants to eat it, so I take it out of his crate every day & put it back at night, but that's because he's a brat and I've found no solution to stop him from chewing on it during the day. Still crossing my fingers he doesn't chew it up at night. Nothing I've put on it stops him chewing on it during the day. Just hoping eventually he learns.I'd recommend this for anyone with a big dog! Gotta wonderfully on the huge crate I have

The item is hands down a 5-star item. Our Dogo Argentinos are extremely comfortable even post TPLO surgery and with orthopedic age related issues. We own 4 of these beds. However, our last order for two beds was a fail. That’s why we are giving 4 stars. One bed was as spectacular as the previous ones, but the second one was defective and would not inflate properly after being removed from the vacuum seal. It was also missing the unique furhaven tag and had been folded and sealed into its packaging differently than all previous ones. The foam in the front of the bed was hardened and shriveled together as if the foam had been exposed to heat or some chemical. It seemed like it was a return that had been sent out again since it was missing the furhaven tag. So it is either improper storage and handling, which seems most likely given previous experiences with Amazon. The alternative would be furhaven sending out faulty items and frankly the company seems better than that. I would be curious to hear what furhaven has to say about this. And I would also like to mention the hassle of repackaging a large vacuum sealed item which no longer fits in the original box, so we pay out of pocket at UPS and also the time and loss of convenience that you can’t monetize and which is what Amazon’s whole premise is to save you the trip and make things convenient, except when products like this are defect you are on your own to figure things out and no assistance that is actually meaningful other than lip service. Less and less inclined to take my $ to Amazon. Will contact #furhaven customer service as well to see what they have to say about their brand being tarnished by the middle man Amazon.Pictures 1-3 is the first dog bed, no issues. Pictures 4-8 is the defective dog bed and the foam hardened and compressed in the front third of the bed.

I wanted to replace my dogs' old bed but didn't want to get something with toxic foam in it. I bought this cover to save me the sewing time. I cut a piece of natural latex foam (I used a mattress topper I no longer needed) to put in the base. I rolled up 3 yards of fleece fabric to insert into the "bumper" section. I also put a water-resistant crib pad inside the base over the latex to protect it, since the latex can't go in the washer. Now when I need to wash the bed, I remove everything I stuffed in. I put the cover, crib pad, and the fleece (just unroll it) in the washer and dryer. Everything comes cleaner and dries better when the pieces are separated, especially when you have a very large bed.

We bought this during the last few weeks of my boys life. He was having so much hip pain, and this really seemed to help him and he was so comfortable in his last few weeks. He unfortunately was bladder incontinent in the end and soaked the bed, but it was so easy to clean afterwards that I definitely think it's worth 5 stars.

I love that I can take out the bolster when the bed cover needs washing. I have had one bed for six years and I wash it every week. Just had to get another for another pup.

Non la housse étais pas assez grande manquait de matériel

Perfect except for the colour. Picture on listing shows a light beige on the top of the bed but it is actually a dark camel colour. I wanted the light beige, (but the darker colour would look cleaner longer.) Added pics of how it arrived.
