goodbye fragile cane.
That feels amazing, that plays amazing and it is reliable. I tried fibracell before and never liked it. It was buzzy, and definately killing my vibe. But this legere is just so good. I can get the sounds that i want without effort(after breaking in the reed for 4 days). And from now on, I will always get the same response for an incredible amount of time! :) For info , i am pro. I play jazz, gypsy jazz, and balkanic klezmerish music. Funny fact, i use it for alto sax. It is a buescher aristocrat 140 from 1930s. But my mouthpiece is 3d printed from SYOS and I have that plastic reed from legere on it. Dont be fooled, it sounds really woody and subtle!

Love this product!
Not cheap to buy for sure, but will certainly outlast the average cane reed. No need to pre soak, not so prone to mould, consistent, play straight out of the box, complete with storage box - love it!

synthetic reeds
really nice tone with these reeds and ease of playing, they dont last very long though, the strength wears out relatively quickly so expensive

lovely tone
Really love this reed, it is always the same , no playing no fading away, no harder than normal. This is excellent for an intermediate such as myself. I think its probably important to experience a natural reed a few times but once you start to notice the reed and how it affects your playing its probably time to change. They are easy to keep clean wash and dry in seconds. lasts ages. Cant think of anything negative to say.. Unless you dont like the tone then these are a must.

More convenient than cane reeds
Much more consistent than traditional reeds, which are variable in quality and tone.

Worth considering for beginners
Wife has been learning alto sax for 6 months. I guess you could say I’m her equipment technician! Despite trying lots of different cane reeds, humidity controlling cases, lapping with sandpaper, soaking, etc etc. Natural cane reeds just are a bit of a faff and can be hit and miss. I think squeaky notes can be really off putting for a beginner so I figured we would try Legere to remove some of the variables. First play and she got on really well. Tone is good and it seemed to help with her playing stamina too as she didn’t have to fight to get the high notes out. I think she’ll get good value for money out of this reed as her playing develops.

Buenísima
Excelente caña la verdad, los agudos son ligeramente complicados al principio, pero fuera de eso es buenísima. A diferencia de la American cut el color es mas brillante, me gusta mas para repertorio clásico.

Love the consistency and ease of play
I love this reed. As a beginner, again, the immediate improved impact on my sound gave me the courage to practice longer and improve as a player. As others have said, there is no prep or need to soak the reed, it is not affected by humidity or bitter Canadian cold, you just put it on the mouthpiece and it just plays and plays easily. I own two, thinking the first one would wear out at some time, but it hasn’t. (Yet) I joined band in January that rehearsed once a week. I practiced an hour or so 6-7 days a week, and after five concerts in June it is still producing good sound in July when I play once or twice a week. In my early days of saxophone playing the reed was always a challenge. We were not trained to shape them in school so sound production was irregular. When I finally found a good reed from the box I treasured it, but alas it too eventually cracked. Both of my Legere reeds play the SAME without the awful bamboo wood feel on the tongue. I am very happy with Legere reeds and will keep buying them as needed. (Though not that often, it would seem.)

Amazing Experience
I've been using the Légère Reeds Premium Synthetic Woodwind Reed (Signature, Strength 2.00) for almost two years now, and it has truly transformed my saxophone playing experience. After years of using traditional cane reeds, the switch to this synthetic reed has been amazing. One of the standout features is how soft and easy it is to play. It allows me to produce clear, consistent tones effortlessly, making practice sessions smoother and more enjoyable. Unlike cane reeds, the Légère reed requires no pre-soaking, so it's ready to go straight out of the box, which saves time and hassle. I also appreciate the durability—over time, it holds up well without the typical wear and tear associated with cane reeds. This reed has provided me with consistent performance for a much longer period than I ever experienced with wood reeds. While everyone’s preferences may vary, for me, this reed has been an excellent fit. It’s reliable, responsive, and easy to play, and I highly recommend it to other saxophonists looking for a reed that combines convenience and quality.
