I will be returning because it was not the right size. But overall it was more for an outside project then to put in my brand new pair of shoes for laces. I had an aesthetic i was going for and this lace was too rugid

For some reason, I got very interested in knot-tying a year ago, and I craved some substantial ropes with which to practice my chosen knots, so on a whim I ordered a couple of these because I liked the colors (green and maroon) and I liked the idea of cotton rather than the usual nylon or acrylic. They're perfectly nice ropes, and I had fun tying various knots to the legs of furniture and what have you, but eventually I came to realize that these ropes are really not very useful. Because they're cotton, I don't think they'd endure very long outdoors in the weather, and the colors would likely fade pretty quickly in sunlight; also, even though they're cotton, the ropes aren't especially soft on the skin, so I don't think these would be your best choice if you're thinking in terms of bondage or what have you.

Whatever you do, do not buy the "sparkle" rope, especially if you're going to use it for pets! I read all of the product description and everything said it was 100% cotton. However, just arrived in the mail, and it is completely full of metallic tinsel that breaks off in your dog's mouth. Extremely dangerous! Plus it breaks off all over the carpet. This is the most fragile cotton rope I have ever bought!

Use it to make dog toys for my shepherd and it really holds up, with slobber and pulling.

I received the twisted rope very quickly and it is exactly as expected. I am using the rope for a nautical feature in my Florida home. Perfect. Not stiff. Just what I needed:)

Used to wrap around a candle good vibrant color and plenty thick

This is certainly more cotton looking than the last hank I ordered, however be warned it does burn if lit with a match or lighter. 100% untreated Cotton will not burn - it's an old quilters trick to make sure threads and fabrics are all cotton. Anyway a sample from this hank doesn't explode and melt but just slow burns so it's a lot safer than the last hank I purchased which literally exploded and melted.
