Sturdy, Quiet, Compact - Excellent Standing Desk
I waited over a year to buy a standing desk because I couldn't find one that met these criteria: fits both on a corner desk AND a rectangular desk, holds two 30 inch monitors, leaves room for a laptop. I found this desk and was skeptical. I need not have been. I love it. It is extremely sturdy and holds my two 30 inch monitors just fine. The only two critiques I would make are: 1) there is no room to adjust the viewing angles of the 30 inch monitors. This isn't a huge problem as the angle that they are forced into is just fine, I just want to re-affirm that 30" is the maximum it could hold. Anything smaller and you'll have plenty of room to adjust. 2) The brackets that mount to the monitors are slightly too big. And I do mean slightly. I had to shave a little of the plastic off my monitors to get them to fit... just a tiny bit. If the brackets were just a sliver smaller they would be fine. Other than that- this desk is perfect. I love that it is electric, and moves up and down smoothly and effortlessly. Oh- I will add a third critique. If the motor ever dies on this- it'll be a bout a 3 hour job to take everything apart, replace the motor, and put back together. Assembly took about 1.5 hours and I was moving as fast as I could. Again- this desk is WELL worth the money. UPDATE - Still love this desk. Just wanted to add that This desk was able to fit 2 32" curved monitors. It's an EXTREMELY tight fit and there isn't any room to adjust them and they droop forward a little, but that's fine because I have them way up high and put my laptop on the top shelf for an amazing experience.

Great option if you use 3 monitors
This product is the only one I could find that worked with 3 monitors. It is a tight squeeze with my Dell 24" monitors, but I was able to make it work. The power lift works reasonably fast and quietly and stays put where you set it along its path of travel. There is sufficient working space on the top platform to lay out several pieces of paper or a small notebook while working. It is reasonably easy to put together, but it does take some time to get it all together and set up properly. The two minor issues I had with it are: The monitor mounts are larger than the recessed opening on the back of my Dell monitors. I could have trimmed the mount points a bit to make them fit, but I decided to get some spacers and longer screws that were slightly longer than the depth of the recessed area on the back of my monitors. I found what I needed at my local hardware store for less than $10.00 The lower tray does not sit flat against your desk, I had to add some 1/4" adhesive pads to the bottom of the lower keyboard shelf to stabilize it for use while seated. This issue is not as noticeable when using this in standing position, though it does move a bit and is not rock steady when it is raised up.

A VERY Good Product, but needs a hack to fit 21" monitors
Just completed assembly and set up of my 3 monitor Stand Steady (SS). Want to share my experience regarding delivery, assembly and quality of the product. To begin, I want to thank Stand Steady for their very fast responses to emailed questions and for assistance with the issues I experienced. In the end, my challenges with assembling the unit were non-issues. 1) Lower shelf screws: After full assembly, the motor calibration ensures that the lower shelf screws do not contact my desktop. 2) Center VESA mount: This was user error (me) because I failed to notice that the 3 monitor unit is only rated for 19 inch monitors. Mine are 21 inches. So my ordeal was self-induced. Delivery - Product was sent by US Mail. The post office knowingly did not deliver my package to my door. Instead (likely because the unit comes in one 70lb box .. heavy), the postal worker (who I saw thru my office window) merely put a note in my mailbox stating that the box was too big for my mailbox. So I drove to the post office and picked it up. Upon opening the box, I was pleased by how very well packed all the items were. No damage, so points to SS. However @SS, please co-ordinate with USPS to ensure the box is delivered to the door or to communicate buyers that it should be picked up. Assembly - All parts were in the box. 2 of the parts had defects. Minor: The lower shelf mounting brackets did not have recessed holes so the screws jut out and caused concern about scratching the desk. After full assembly, the concern abated because the lift motor seems to be calibrated to stop 1/4in above the desk so no scratching. For me, this is ok but the motor calibration may differ for others. Major: The center monitor bracket VESA mount was left misaligned by 1/2 inch (ie. A LOT). From a close look, the design specification did not consider that when the metal is stamped and folded the VESA mount hole would be left-shifted versus the center of the motor riser. The misalignment made it impossible to properly install my left monitor (I have 3 21" units). To compensate, I did the following: removed the center mount, cut off the small L-shaped tongue used to secure it to the riser with a screw, cut off half of the 2 riser 'shoes' the mount slides into and drilled 2 holes (for zip ties) into the metal backing on either side of the mount. I re-assembled the hacked mount and secured it to the motor riser with zip ties (since I had to cut off the screw tongue). Doing all this took nearly 2 hours, and earned me a reduction of the misalignment to 3/16 inch (still bad but allowed me to install my left monitor). After installing the monitors, they slumped down badly. The fix (this step is NOT in the assembly instructions and should be) was to: remove the monitors, remove the black center caps on the VESA mounts, tighten the VESA mount lock nuts, re-install the monitors. Quality - Notwithstanding the challenges, I still rate this a VERY good product and am glad I purchased it. My biggest concern was that the monitor arms or the shelves would not be strong enough. Boy was I pleased to discover that they are super strong! The monitor arms hold my heavy-ish old school DELLs with ease. I accidentally left a pencil holder under the left side of the upper shelf when lowering the unit. The motor rested the shelf on the pencil holder leaving me puzzled about why it didn't come down all the way, leaving the unit un-level. I finally realized--after checking--that the full weight of the assembly (plus monitors, approx 100lbs) was being supported by the left side of the upper shelf! NOW THAT'S STRONG! And the lower shelf is made of the same super strong material so is equally strong! This understanding of how strong the unit was made me more forgiving of the center VESA mount issue (which @SS, PLEASE FIX). Had the unit not be satisfactorily strong, my fallback purchase was a $1,000 Winston unit. As such, I'm overrall quite happy that I purchased this rock tough unit at a sub $400 price. So, in closing, the Stand Steady Techtonic Electric is a VERY good product on a bang-for-the-buck basis. I'm 6ft tall and it rises and lowers to very comfortable ergonomic positions for me. Due to the higher price of similar units, I would buy it again. OCO

Excellent Product
I had previously ordered a different stand up desk convertor that was never delivered (damaged in shipment). I then re-ordered that same product as well as ordered this product. This product came first. I am very happy with everything about this stand up desk convertor and especially the spacious workspace/desk top space. The electric motor is really nice - very quiet, smooth and moves up and down quickly and steadily. Product is very sturdy. It is heavy; but once assembled, it is fairly easy to slide/move on your desk to where you want it. When mounting the monitors, I would recommend that you mount the center monitor first, then the two outside ones. I have three monitors mounted - two 23" and one 24". Would recommend this product.

Very Sturdy
I purchased the 2 monitor standing desk for my work station. My monitors are 27 inches each. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Product is very sturdy. You can tell that it is back heavy which is a good thing for a freestanding product. Installation took me four hours. I may be a bit slower than others. Instructions was easy to follow at first, then the further you get the more it gets confusing. Some instructions were not mentioned on step 7. On top of it, I was getting confused on which screws attached with what part. I was supposed to use “A” screws for the back of the monitor but ended up using “G” (if I’m not mistaken) so switching out the screws took me some time. Another issue I noticed is that they on provided two Allen wrenches. The hex for “A” screws for the back of the monitors were not provided. I had asked my colleague to assist me on this. He used the pliers to drive the screws forward. The wrench you will need is much smaller than the ones provided. Lastly the desk seems to rock a bit but it does not bother me too much. We tried putting the stand of the base all the way to its lowest setting so that there’s not much wobbling. It helped a bit but didn’t disappear entirely. Love that the electric motor does not make annoying noise. It’s very quiet when you are raising and lowering the desk. Overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase. I recommend buying if you do not want to screw anything to your current desk. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments from my colleagues about this desk because it’s so convenient to move up and down and has a very spacious counters.

5 years later - Still Completely Satisfied
Updating: After 5 years the desk still works perfectly. I have not had any issues with the positioning of the lower desk - it lowers flush with the physical desktop. Still rate it 5 star, both for performance and durability. ************************************************ Been using the desk for 8 months now. Took it along on a trip across country and back with no problems. Everything still works perfectly. The mounting arms/brackets for the monitors are a lot more flexible/adjustable than I realized. You can move them closer or farther away, as well as tilting up/down and sideways. I'm finding that being able to adjust quickly and easily is great when you're spending 8 or 10 hours a day in front of the computer. If your looking for a premium adjustable desk with a great range of height and the ability to handle two or three large monitors, you really should consider this one.

Issues with monitor mounts
Pros: -Very tall, I'm 6'6" and this has the perfect standing height -Spacious, plenty of room for keyboard, mouse, laptop, and still some in case you need to write on anything. -Motorized, easy to move up and down. Cons: -Small monitors only -The mount on the back of the monitors does NOT lock, meaning, yes you can move your monitor any way you want, but your monitors will not stay straight. It's very loose. -Because it's motorized, it's a little noisy. It's not terrible, but just can be a little distracting for others. Overall, a really nice design, easy to use, and very comfortable. Really the only big issues I have with it is that you cannot tighten the monitor mount so that my monitors won't shift.

It's easy to assemble and works like a charm.
I work from home 100%. I was experiencing lower bac and hip pain from sitting 9+ hours a day. I bought this little gem because of the dual monitor mounts and the electric up and down feature. I absolutely love it. This is the best piece of off equipment I've bought for myself. Not only is it super easy to put together (I put together by myself), but the up and down transition is smooth. I also love the double mounted monitors. I have 2 - 28" gaming monitors on it and my work laptop in the middle for Zoom meetings & as a 3rd monitor.
