EXTREMELY HELPFUL FOR PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY PAIN RELIEF
Do not know facts about long-term side effects of using, but the short term effect of relief from peripheral neuopathy pain and tingling and numbness is wonderful, so as to not endure the prescription drug side effects of gambapentin, which causes fatigue, sleepiness, unsteadiness on my feet, and now even some temporary (so-far) hearing loss. My doctors can not tell me anything more than what I find of the internet about safety, but one finds that one has to do what one has to do. Viable alternative for anyone who is already unsteady on their feet to avoid worsening that condition. Update: After using this product since summer 2018, I can credit this product with saving me from unbelievable misery from peripheral neuropathy due to medically necessary treatments. I felt relief starting within an hour after taking the first pill, but the effect only lasted about two hours, so I found myself taking them at a rate that worried me about injurious side effects, but could not resist taking the pill because I needed the relief to be able to live my life. Upon the doctor's recommendation, I also tried L-glutamine and the supplements of the B-complex. Unfortunatley I experienced no relief whatsover from the L-glutamine, which I had hoped would reduce my use of the benfotiamine, since no authentic studies have been done on the long term effects of high doses (or even low doses) of benfotiamine. But since my doctor was so surprised that I was getting no relief from the L-glutamine, I decided to try another brand to see if that made a difference. The brand I had tried first was from the nationally known "nutrition" store chain that I had thought would be more reliable. BEWARE, since the FDA does not regulate supplements, we are totally at the mercy of the sellers, and apparently national name recognition means nothing. I got another brand sold on Amazon, and lo and behold, I felt quite a bit of relief with the new product. So then I started to alternate dosing between the two products, the benfotiamine and the L-glutamine, hoping to reduce at least somewhat any negative effects of over-use of either product. Dosing with either product is now spaced much farther apart, usually at least 8 hours, and I must always use the benfotiamine before going to bed and immediately upon arising, but then I have to take blood pressure pills at those times also, so it is just part of my routine. Lengthy exposure to extreme heat seems to increase the effects of the neuropathy, just as a side note, and since I do a lot of outside work, those are the days that I have to take either the benfo or the L-gluti more often, and if I don't, there will be no sleep for a long time that night, because I refuse to increase the amount I take at any one time to compensate for not having stopped my work to take a dose when I felt the need during the day. This brand has worked extremely well for me, and I could not be more grateful. Good luck to all of you out there who are hurting. BTW, so far I can not attribute any side effects to the usage of befo or L-gluti. But be aware, and try another brand of any supplement that has good repute from others but doesn't do well for you--it may just be a manufacturing problem. Maybe some day the FDA will step in and help us. Oh, almost forgot--tinnitus in my left ear comes right back if I don't take my benfo soon enough, but goes away about an hour after taking the benfo. Another huge HUGE benefit of benfo!!! I can only say, my life wouldn't be worth living without Benfotiamine, even now, 2 years after starting using it.

In just one month, this product is clearly helping my neuropathy
It's important that I share that I've had chemo..radiation treatment for cancer...and wound up with CIPN in both my feet and hands...It's rather relentless and going on for over 8 years and I've tried Alpha lipoid acid which was useless. I've tried GABA which helped (I think) marginally but when I had an MRI recently and was lying in an awkward position on the exam table, after putting both arms above my head (for 30 minutes), I then wound up with severe neuropathy going down from my shoulder to my fingers. Almost like tingling, shock-like spasms..One arm only. I told two of my doctors, and both thought it could be a pinched nerve from having my arm awkwardly positioned......however no evidence of a pinched nerve appeared on my scan. I then began reading about benfotamine...actually I was reading about any and every supplement known to man that could help neuropathy and similar conditions...On a whim (and because it was reasonably priced and seemed free of additives that might bother me) I bought this particular formula which I'm glad is free of silicon dioxide as I'm seriously intolerant of that additive.......First two weeks, I noticed nothing...I was taking 2 pills per day and I just went ahead and ordered a second bottle to give this more time........This was exactly 2 weeks after I had begun...I was still feeling the tingling and spasm-like feeling after sleeping...thinking maybe I was doing this to myself...sleeping on my arm...or turning my head in a funny position, possibly pinching a nerve in my neck....But not sure what the cause was or might still be a problem, but the reality is that after almost a month, and now taking just one pill in the AM with breakfast, I want to report that my nerve problem seems to be gone...The numbness I've had for 8 years in my feet is still pretty much evident...but I think it's somewhat improved...I don't know whether this product helps to regenerate damaged nerves...I also take a lot of other supplements for my immune system...antioxidants...but this is the only supplement I think has made a huge difference in the recent nerve pain I was having after lying on that table, having an MRI...I sort of feel this formula cured my problem...I'm very amazed!! And feeling profoundly grateful!~ If you have neuropathy, I suggest you give this a try...Not much to lose....Please try to be patient...For me it didn't work overnight...but after just one month, the effects of taking it are very noticeable... Update, it is now 6 weeks since I began this product. My arm tingling is all gone... I can't say it's improving my CIPN in my feet, but I will continue taking this formula for at least 6 more months.

Affordable Supplement That Helps with Neuropathy
I have a cousin who mentioned that this supplement had been recommended to him, so I decided to buy it as a gift. He says it has been helping, and so far he hasnโt experienced any discomfort or side effects while taking it. Considering that supplements often need to be taken consistently over time to see results, I think this brand is a great option because of its affordable priceโit allows him to continue taking it without putting too much strain on his budget. So far, everything has been going very well for him.

better values than at Natural Grocers
My husband is using Benfotiamine for his eyes. At Natural Grocers, he bought a bottle for twice the price and half the milligrams. This is a better value and works as well as what he had purchased before.

I took this for a couple of months. I thought it would help with blood sugar. I was shocked to find my blood pressure had gone up significantly. Additionally I started losing hair. I have stopped Benfotiamine now.
