Verde Farms, Organic 100% Grass-Fed Tenderloin Steaks, 2pc, 10oz

I thought I would try our first food order from Amazon. The service was great, it arrived on our scheduled time. The packaging was very good. Regarding the tenderloin, I cooked Sous Vide which always makes the meat very tender. So I am not sure what this cut would cook like on the grill. With the sous vide method it was very very good. No fat at all. One of the most lean cuts that I have had. The only negative is that the steaks are smaller than they look on the Amazon website. It also think they its a little on the expensive side, but it is high end restaurant quality.

I was shocked to see two little sliders of meat when I saw the package. Beware that these are two 5oz filets. Totaling 10oz, so the description is correct, but easily confused.The meat itself is delicious, tender, and flavorful. I cooked them perfectly medium rare sous vide and finished on the grill. As is the nature of tenderloin/filet minon, there is almost no fat and not much juice to drip out, and should be cooked carefully. After we got over the shock of the small size, we were very happy with the meat, I just wish it was larger, or plan for two steaks per person.

A disappointment. As another reviewer stated these are inferior to the other brand Pre that is also sold on Amazon fresh. While it was completely edible I expect top notch quality and taste at this price. It just wasn't there. It lacked the deep beefy taste I usually associate with grass fed and had some oddly tough parts.If you're going to live the good life and eat grass fed filet I would stick with a better brand. It's worth it.

I can't tell you how much I love these steaks. I was blown away by the quality for the price; I would expect to pay way more for such tender and succulent beef. I cooked these up medium rare in a red wine sauce with some roasted potatoes, and I ate a meal I'd expect to pay $50 for at a fancy New York steakhouse. I never knew how much of a difference organic, grass-fed meat could taste, and I won't be going back. Verde Farms knows what they're doing.

I was excited to see a new 100% grass fed being offered on fresh, but this product certainly didn't live up to my expectations. Didn't taste as good as the other brand I buy here and wasn't nearly as tender. I hate giving a bad review to a grass fed beef company, but the taste just wasn't there.

Testpretty damn tasty. Now i know what to expect. Still disappointed about the picture being misleading and getting shorted from what i paid for.

Not very good quality... the meat was very very small and when I opened the package there was a foul smell. I rinsed the meat and prepared as usual but the unpleasant smell lingered and no one enjoyed it.

Made these the other night for dinner. They were the perfect portion size and super tasty - I also loved how lean the cut of meat is while still being tender and juicy. I seasoned them with salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder. Seared them, stuck them in the oven with the broiler on for 5 minutes on each side, then let them rest with a small pat of butter on top. Delicious!
