desertcart.com: Do I Have To Wear White?: Emily Post Answers America's Top Wedding Questions – An Essential Etiquette Resource for Engaged Couples, Families, and Guests: 9780061563874: Post, Anna: Books Review: Can't plan wedding without this book - It takes almost a year to plan the wedding. I first got this book in the library and after extending it 3 times I realized that I want to have the copy of my own, since I have been going back to this book again and again for each step of the planning. All the questions answered in this book are very targeted to each section. If you never planed the wedding or you have no idea what the formal etiquette is this book will be really helpful. Its small format allows you to carry it with you and be like your small cheat sheet. Highly recommended for all first time brides or parents who help to plan the wedding. Review: modern wedding questions - so far this book has great questions for a modern wedding - not nearly as detailed/old school etiquette as the other "post family" books.

Let me save you the purchase price: Q: Someone expects me to do something I don't want to, what should I do? A: Talk to them like a grown-up or suck it up. Seriously, that's about 90% of the advice offered by this mighty tome. What remains is pretty much like this: Q: I want to do something that seems rude and possibly ignorant, should I do it? A: No. I'll close with a direct excerpt from the book: Q: We’d like to have our silverware monogrammed. How should it be marked? A: Today, a triangle of block letters—last-name initial below and first-name initials of the bride and groom above—works well on modern patterns. I've summed up the entire book for you - have a great wedding.
