The width is fine, but where the shoulder rest IS higher (meaning the overall hanger is shorter) as other review mentioned. This design may be for some reason or just a cost cut, but it will not match most other hangers on your rack.So... if you tilt towards obsession with detail, it will be very obvious mismatch on your shelf with other hangers. If that matters to you, make sure you order enough to replace all your hangers at once with these, or risk being annoyed at your closet.

These hangers are OK so far, but are annoyingly shorter than all of my other hangers (see photo), so that my hangers are no longer easy to grasp several at a time. Also the clothes on these hangers hang higher than the clothes on my other hangers, and so some clothing is more obscured than others on the rack. I will look elsewhere next time.

I like these hangers because, not only are they a cool shade of red, but they are slightly smaller than a standard hanger. They are great for tween and petite woman sizes.

No place locally carried red ones. I needed red ones. You hsd them when no else did. Love em.
