Great tuners
Easy to install genuine Grover locking tuners. Turn the top of the tuner and wait for the click. Insert the string and tune away. Once your new strings are stretched out, they have rock solid performance. If your guitar previously had full size Grovers, they fit like a glove and the screw holes line up with no mods.10 minute install job.The only knock against them is the playing is extremely thin and prone to flake off. So your new tuners tend to have some light relic look after a typical install. But a guitar is meant to be used like a tool and played rather than sit in a case collecting dust.

They break high e strings, and not available in nickel finish. Otherwise pretty good.
I like these tuners a lot and I've put them on several gibsons - SG's, Les Paul's and 335's.However, two complaints. They tend to break high E strings easily at installation. And they don't come in a nickel finish.Chrome is ok...but if you have nickel finish on your pickups and bridge, it looks a little weird putting chrome on the headstock.Tuning stability ranges from excellent to just ok across the ones I've installed. They do seem more stable on the same guitar than the roto-lockers with the wheel on the back. The stems are longer sticking out the front of the headstock and look a little weird at first but I got used to that pretty fast. It doesn't bother me at all now.

Solid Locking Tuners
I was looking for a more traditional grover locking tuner for my les paul. These fit the bill, but I didn't realize the stems were longer. When you are looking down at your guitar the profile is a little different, but if that doesn't bother you they are great

Great
These are great locking tuners, what more can I really say. If you're looking for lockers and these fit your guitar go for it you won't be sorry. They stay in tune very well and we're easy to install. For me they just dropped in.

Valuable modification
I prefer to play with fresh strings and thus change them frequently. These tuners make string changes so much easier. However, I bought these not to make restringing a simpler process but to help improve my tuning stability. I purchased these for my L.P. which, although a very comfortable and beautiful guitar to play, would not stay in tune for the life of me. These tuners have helped that issue; although other actions were required to more fully correct tuning/intonation issues as well.Overall, I like them very much. Not quite as nice as the Ratio tuning machines I put on my Strat but also nowhere near as expensive. Also, these machines fit perfectly (although they seem to stand a bit taller) and required absolutely NO Drilling or modification whatsoever. Literally took 5 minutes plus string change. They are worth it.

Fits Epiphone Wildkat Nicely
They work great on my Epiphone Wildkat. It took less than an hour to replace the original tuners.

These tuners are every bit as good as you would expect
These tuners are every bit as good as you would expect. I have the mini rotomatic self-locking tuners on an Epiphone Explorer and those have worked wonderfully, and there have been no issues, largely due to the fact that the original tuners were the non-locking versions of the same tuners. These tuners are very heavy though, the heaviest in the Grover range, and have caused severe neck dive on my Gibson SG Junior, which originally had Kluson type tuners. I am hoping to partially remedy this by fitting pearloid acrylic replacement tuner buttons and maybe even a bag of bee bees in the control cavity to counterbalance the headstock. Also be aware that the auto-lockers have an additional part above the height of the standard Grovers. I don't mind this (except for the extra weight) but some people might find it ugly.

I've gotten used to the look but when it comes time to change strings I am only to happy to overlook that aesthetic shortcoming
These were direct install on both a Epiphone Les Paul Studio and a Gretsch G2655. No modifications needed to be made at all. These tuners work well and I have no issues at all on both guitars. They definitely help with tuning stability because you string exactly the same every time with no guessing. The design is a bit wonky however because the locking pegs are fairly tall. I've gotten used to the look but when it comes time to change strings I am only to happy to overlook that aesthetic shortcoming!.
