well known product
Well known product, have used it in the past on other tile jobs like bathroom shower and floor. Rand out and repurchased for a backsplash in the laundry room. Hoping it holds up as that sink gets a lot of use

Keeps natural stone from staining...
I've used Auqua Mix stone sealer for 5 years now, but it wasn't until last year that I experienced the rewards of the product. I had set out some new holiday decorations on our front entries natural stone slabs and they had gotten rained on. When we went out to pick them up and put away there were three big spots - yellow, red and green. I took a bucket of soapy water and a soft brush and the stains came out or I should say the stains came OFF the stone! That accident could have cost $$$$$ in replacing the stone! Yes the Aqua Mix sealer is a bit pricey, but it saved a costly replacement job or having to live with that ugly stain for a very long time. In fact we have since used it for a patio remodel and covered 4,500 sq. ft. of travertine with the sealer. It's an easy job to do. For the entry steps and landing a small 6" paint roller on a pole does a wonderful job. For the patio we used an oversized roller and about 2 hrs. of labor to complete the job. Set out your "do not walk on" signs and depending on the air temps in 2 -3 hours it is dry. We regularly stay off the stone work for 24 hrs. before putting patio furniture back on the surface. We know we have great coverage when the water beads up and runs off the surface. As the sun is very unforgiving where we live we use Aqua Mix sealer every year to keep the stone looking it's best.

Easy to use and seals grout well
We built a custom home and discovered after a couple years that our grout was not sealed. After a thorough cleaning and allowing to dry, I applied the Aqua Mix product. It was very easy to apply and soaked in easily to the grout. Make sure you have your fan on as the fumes are a bit strong. Any excess that you get on the tile, can be easily removed by dampening a rag with the sealer and then wiping the tile down. It will remove any runs on vertical tile. For the shower basin, I poured small areas and used latex gloved hands to spread the sealer evenly. Then I used a grout sponge and rag to soak up any excess. I applied 2 coats a couple of hours apart. After 6 weeks, I have no soap scum buildup like before and the tile and grout is easier to clean. One tip, use a ph neutral cleaner and the sealer will last longer.

White Vinegar gets rid of any white excess after Aqua Mix treatment
I applied one generous coat Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold (Rapid Cure Formular). I really worked it into the grout with a paint brush and with a foam paint roller onto our kitchen floor stone tile. I had two windows open during the entire time.I wiped off any excess of the sealer but apparently not well enough. The next day there was visible white residue on all the floor tiles which didn't look pretty at all. First, I tried to get it off with soapy water - it wouldn't work. Then, I tried a few other things, nothing worked. Finally, I applied some White Vinegar (undiluted) and it easily removed the white residue! If you have the same issue, be careful:a) don't pour the vinegar directly onto the tile. It will create a vinegar stain and remove all your good work on just that spot - even if you spread out the vinegar over the rest of that stone tile right away.b) After doing that mistake twice, I put the White Vinegar onto a folded cloth diaper and carefully wiped over the tile (not the grout) 1-2x . I didn't wipe any more because I didn't want to remove the entire sealer. And it worked! All the excess white residue is gone and there is still sealer on my tiles and grout. I tested it by pouring some water onto the stone tiles and grout (various spots) and saw that round water drops were forming. So the sealer is working.Additional note: I thoroughly cleaned all the stone tiles and grout with a Karcher Steam Cleaner (Multi Purpose) before I applied the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold. That steam cleaner really removes the dirt.

The Best Sealer I Have Found out There
I use this product professionally on all of my tile installations. Some people feel that tile and grout sealers are not effective or worth the hassle, well I highly disagree. Yes I have to go back to a job on a different day after the grout has dried to seal but when you are doing work professionally wouldn't you rather put in an extra hour the next day so that you craftsmanship looks as good a year later as a day later? The product is pretty thin and applies nicely and you will get coverage on most surfaces but it will take multiple applications to get a truly water proof finish on grout and porous tile. I tend to do 3 - 4 coats which takes between an hour to two from start to finish. When the product is done drying if applied correctly shouldn't change the appearance of the tile either. My only issue with the product is the cost of the sealer it seems a little high but on the over hand you do get what you pay for.Overall this is a durable natural look sealer that is quick to apply and dries just as fast. Win Win in my opinion.
