Kinetic power is cool, more precision is designed
The kinetic power aspect of this is nice. You just step on and it goes. The screen isn't backlit, so you'll need some lighting to be able to read the output. This serves my purpose, but my biggest gripe is that it's precision is not that high. If you step on the scale 10 times, it may give you 10 different readings. I find that I have to step on the scale several times to get a relatively accurate measurement. The inaccuracy is probably within the range of 1 to 1.5 pounds.

Reliable and Easy To Use
This digital scale has been a great addition to my bathroom. It turns on automatically when I step on, gives a quick reading, and the numbers are large and easy enough to read that I don't have to squint or lean over on the scale. It's sturdy underfoot and doesn’t slide around, which makes it safe and simple to use, and the readings stay consistent so I know I can trust it. It matches up pretty close to the doctor's office scale. The scale is also slim enough to slide under the cabinet when I’m not using it, and the white design looks nice in my bathroom without drawing too much attention. It's easy to keep clean, too! This scale is accurate, easy to use, and built well, which is exactly what I want and need in a scale. I happily recommend this product with five full stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Interesting concept, but not accurate, and NO BACKLIGHT means impossible to see in dark rooms
This "kinetic" scale would be a pretty nifty idea, but two big problems with this one. I have three other scales in my house, and I weigh between .1 - .2 lb different between each of those scales. This scale puts me at three pounds lighter than any other scale which is nice to look at, but not accurate. Also, if you step on this scale multiple times, you'll register different weights each time, sometimes as much as two pounds different from the previous reading. Finally, since there is not battery, there is also no back light, so it's impossible to read your weight in the window unless you are in a brightly lit area. Sorry, but a fail for me on many levels.

Gives very consistent and accurate readings every day
For years I have used several different Taylor digital scales at home. But I have noticed that the Taylor scales always give my weight as about 5 pounds less than the scales used at my different doctors' offices. This Escali Kinetic Bathroom Scale shows a weight about 3 pounds higher than my Taylor scales, and I believe that reading, as it's closer to medical office scales that show me about 5 pounds higher than my Taylor scales. Since this Escali scale is much closer to the weight shown by medical scales, I trust it more than I trust my Taylor scales. I will say that I weighed myself 5 times in about 5 minutes on this Escali scale, and 4 of the 5 times I got identical weights. But one time it did show one pound less than the other 4 times. I would prefer that it showed the same weight 100% of the time, but I guess 80% is close enough for a home scale (and it was only off by 1 pound that single time). I have noticed that I need to put this scale on the floor in EXACTLY the same place every day. I am guessing there may be slight irregularities in my floor, because if I am off even by 1 inch, the weight it gives me can be different when I move the scale from place to place. As long as I weigh daily exactly on the same little floor footprint, I get consistent weights day after day. It's novel that the scale operates from the kinetic energy generated simply by stepping onto the scale. The simple instruction booklet that comes with the scale says that after you step off of the scale, the display will turn off automatically when the kinetic energy you had generated dissipates. I find that the weight number stays visible on the scale for 30 seconds, or even longer, before shutting off. The scale seems sturdy and stable. The display is not as easy to read as my 2 Taylor scales, which have backlighting (they are battery operated). Since this scale operates on kinetic energy, I would not expect it to have backlighting. The numbers are large enough and are legible on the Escali scale, so if you have decent eyesight you should be able to read the viewing screen without any issues. All in all, I will be switching from my Taylor scale to this Escali scale since it seems to give more accurate readings than my Taylor scale does.

Inaccurate but Consistent Scale
This is a scale that's better in concept than reality, but it still works pretty well. The obvious issue we've found is that it's inaccurate - weights are measured progressively heavier the higher you go, e.g. a 160-pound person (measured on three other scales within 0.1 pounds) will show as 170 pounds on this. Not ideal, of course, but if you know that, you can judge it accordingly. The conveniences are good - there are no issues with functionality; just step on and it perks awake, and gives the reading within a couple of seconds. There's no backlight, so you'll need to have some kind of illumination, but the numbers are fairly large and easy to read. Switching between pounds and kilograms is a simple button press underneath. It's quite light, but the platform is also a little smaller than other models - 12" x 11". The top is all flat glass, so it's very easy to clean.

No more battery replacements
I got the White option. This is pretty cool for a bathroom scale. It's powered by stepping on the platform and doesn't need batteries. There's a battery indicator, but that's there to show how much power is left for the display. If it runs out, just step off and on again. It saves me the trouble of remembering to replace the batteries. I don't use the bathroom scale all that often, but every once in a while when I wanted to use it, it no longer turns on because the battery ran out. This battery-less one should be great for people like me.

Sleek and Accurate
This Bathroom Scale looks great with its sleek black design and I appreciate its accurate readings every time. Love that it’s battery-free—just step on to activate! It’s exactly what I needed without any hassle.
