Worked for me on MacOS
Saw all the bad reviews and took a chance. It worked for me to read some old PCMCIA cards using MacOS Sequoia. Plug and play with no setup/drivers, etc. FWIW, I put the card into the reader, then connected the USB cord. I did not try to write the cards; I don't think it is capable of that.

Does not work out of the box
Plugged in to both my Windows 11 PC and my new Lenovo Tablet. Tried 6 different ATA cards that I had in safe storage. Computers recognized the device however not one card was recognized. Was going to return it however I dropped my bag on it and broke the housing. Will find another product to get my old data off my PCMCIA ATA cards.

Works for my application…
Had some old media laying around, and wanted to see what was on them and it worked perfectly for reading the media.

PCMCIA card reader.....
Light weight, no external power, but doing same job as heavy duty products are doing. great.

Works Great - No Software Needed - Plugged It In & Recognized PCMCIA Card
I have an old 30 MB PCMCIA card that I wondered if it had any files I didn't save elsewhere. This worked great. I plugged it in a USB hub, not even directly to my laptop. Then I inserted the PCMCIA 30 MB drive. It read it immediately as Drive F. This works just like plugging in a USB Flash Drive. But what can I do with a PCMCIA 30 MB card? Not much, not after the files are copied over. So, I won't be needing this again, but for the one-use purpose, it worked great! I'm not sure I understand the negative reviews. Maybe others are trying to use this for PCMCIA adapters, etc. I have a couple of those, too, but that's not what this device is for. This is just for reading a storage card, like it says. And for that, it works great!
